I wanted to share my story only because I could not find what I was looking for anywhere !!!  They say do not detox from methadone while pregnant, but that was not an option for me. I am on day 7 off methadone. And before that made it 4 days and took 10 mg..  I am 15 weeks pregnant and I am miserable every single day, but also proud every day that I do not use !!! I have been on methadone low dose for 6 years.. I just could not imagine staying on methadone my whole pregnancy and letting my poor sweet innocent baby go through withdrawal not that it would have been a for sure thing.. But I was just ready, willing, and able to do this. I actually just wanted to share a short story and will let anyone know details... Every day is a milestone for me and I truly dont even know who I actually am sober !! Only time will tell.
