i am having surgery on June 4th. The surgery is for a bunion, 2 hammer toes & curled 4th & 5th toes. Since I've been having pain associated w/ my toes for years I haven't been too worried about pain and recovery after surgery. i would love to hear from someone who has had a similar surgery to know what kind of pain awaits me. I've been seeing a pain management dr for over 5 yrs following multiple surgeries on my back and S.I. Joint. My pain mgmt dr said he is concerned that it will be very difficult to get my post surgical pain under control because I have been on pain pills for several years. I live alone and am very concerned after reading many responses here. Wimps & sissies aside...I would like to hear about how intense my pain will really be as well as how long I should need someone to stay with me to help. Thanks so much for your feedback!
