14 days after a laser haemorrhoidectomy, I am having 7-8 BMs everyday. Full 5-6 hrs after waking up are spent in this and I need a warm sitz after each one. First two calls look normal with no straining but after that just passing very small amounts at each call and more straining. Try to ignore but the pressure is too much.

Doctor has done a rectal examination and ruled out fecal impaction or any other abnormality. I am having a lot of fiber and NORMACOL stool softener at night. Drinking 3 ltrs of water daily.

Anyone with similar experience/suggestions on how to tackle??

Thanks,
It's possible that you have too much fiber in your diet. I know that leads to multiple bowel movements which seems to be the issue you're dealing with. The less fiber you have, the less likely it is that you'll have them all the time. Does that help?

I am so glad to hear that it worked out for you. I remember that at one point--even though I haven't ever had hemorrhoid surgery--I was taking in too much fiber and in addition to going too often, I also had very difficult and labored movements. So I'm glad to hear that worked for you!
