I was on my period 2 weeks ago and for the past few days i have been bleeding very heavily. It started with brown discharge,but then I started bleeding severly. I am on birth control its the Nuva Ring and I am sexually active with my boyfriend of a year and a half. I am 20 years old and my periods have always been normal ever since my doctor put me on birth control this has not happened to me ever since I have been on birth control which was 7 years ago. I need some help please I am getting very scared. please help me.
Don't be worried honey! You do need to get checked out by your doctor as soon as possible though, as sometimes that much bleeding can indicate that something has happened with the ring! They will need to check that you don't have anything going on with it! Anything really weird, when you are on BC should be mentioned to your doctor right away! Do you have any heaviness in your chest or anything like that? Just get checked out OK? It will put your mind at ease and IF something has gone on with the ring they can correct it!
