ok, I am 47......I have been near sighted/far sighted (astignatism) all my life.....never have had black floaters as bad as I have until a car accident where we were rear ended and I hit my head on a rear window of my truck so hard it knocked me out.....I've read so many different diognosis....not sure weather I need a doc or not!!! Im not a spring chicken, but, never saw these spots as bad until after the accident.....so do I see a specialist or not....I have no insurance so ....please don't steer me wrong here......

I don't think that it would be a bad idea to see a doctor about this because if you are having spots in your eyes it could be indicative of a more serious problem so it cannot be a bad idea to see a doctor to make sure it's okay. Does that help? I wish you the best!
