I am struggling with endometriosis. So I decided to have novasure ablation done 2 weeks ago. BUT the procedure only was half done and the machine broke. I am going to see my OBGYN on Friday. I have seen research that woman CAN get pregnant and do have a successful outcome. Does anyone have any info on partial ablation?

How are the pregnancies going??? My Husband and I went to a fert specialist. He was not exactly encouraging but states he will work with us closely. ( To date he has never treated anyone with an ablasion) I will have a HSG to start with then he wants to perform surgery to visualize the endometrium. Here we go we can only pray that we have good results. Does anyone have any updates? I am encouraged by the current pregnancies hope they are successful. God bless.

A doctor should not do an ABLATION if you want to concieve in the future..I wonder why he allowed this to happen if you want to concieve...
WERE you not aware that ABLATION is for women who do not desire anymore children?

When I had my ablasion, I was in a life threating situation. My platlet count was too low to even attempt surgery ( hysterectomy) when I started having excessive vag bleeding. This was all caused by the chemo therapy I was on. Your response is some what abrupt. I can not speak for all women but after going through the chemo, hgb of 5.2, hct of around 17 and low platlets........I had no choice. I understood the risks of an ablasion but in the situation did I really have any choice? I am very greatful that a physician understands my situation and is giving me an opportunity to have a child with my husband. This is near and dear to our hearts. I am fortunate that all medical professionals do not have the sam opnions as you do. I thank you for your comments and yes I understood the risks.

My procedure was performed because I was having periods lasting 14-21 days long and they would go away and 7 days later I would start bleeding again. The bleeding was very heavy, and birth control pills did not control it, nor did this other medication the Dr. gave me to slough off the outer lining of the uterus. My blood counts were ok, but I would bleed for 3 or so weeks per month, and it got really old, after 6 months of that I had the procedure done. I was not married at the time, and did not predict that I would be getting married. We are going to give it a shot, dangerous or not. If we are blessed with a baby great, if not there are other options for us to explore. Good luck everyone.

Just wanted to let everyonw know that my pregnancy is still going as a normal pregnancy should go. I am now 25 weeks with a baby boy. I am concidered high risk due to the ablation and I just seen a high risk Dr. today that didn't even believe that I had the ablation done since I am still pregnant. I do although have a low lying placenta that is on the cervix that he is watching. He says it isn't due to the ablation and due to the fact this is my 5th pregnancy with 3 live births. He is going to watch it over the next few months and if it don't move I willl have to have a c-section. Other than that the baby itself is as healthy as can be. Will keep you posted on what happens in the next few visits.

This is wonderful news. Thank you so much for the update. I appreciate your response. I had to go to the ER today because I have a kidney stone. While in the ER they ran a quantative HCG. My test came back positive. but my count was only 13. That means either I am pregnant again or I still have some of the hormones left from my previous pregnancy that ended in a miscarriage. I will have another Serum HCG in the next few days. This should tell us if we are truly pregnant again. I will keep you posted. I am cautiously excited. Again, thank you for keeping us posted on your progressing pregnancy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I'm so excited to hear that there are other women out there who want to try and conceive after having a TL and ablation. My husband and I looked into adoption but it is very costly and we decided to put the money towards trying to have another biological child to add to our family. We have two sons and it would be great to add one more addition. It's encouraging to hear that it is possible to have a healthy pregnancy after these surgeries. I'll be visiting a specialist within the month to see how to begin this journey. My gyn said I might need a D&C to clean up any scarring I might have due to the ablation. Did any of you have to have this done? How did you begin trying to conceive? If anyone can answer any of these questions or give me info on where to find answers please respond. I wish all of you the best of luck on your journeys. Please keep our family in your prayers. You'll all be in ours.

I was wondering I had my tubes tied after my last child about 7 years ago. Then about a year ago I had Novasure, (ablation) for heavy bleeding, at the time I did not want anymore children. I never stopped bleeding I have continued to have regular periods every month for about 5 days. If I were to get my tubes untied, could I get pregnant and carry to term? I read one women was having her tubal reversed and also had a ablation. I was wondering what kind of doctor would I go to, I know most will not even touch this kind of pregnancy. Please update on your progress of pregnancy. thank you and good luck to all.

I'm going to a doctor who specializes in endocrinology and fertility for my first visit in a few weeks. I'm going to see if it would be possible for me to conceive and carry to term. My circumstances are a little different than yours. I haven't had a period since I had novasure so my body might not be able to support a pregnancy. I'm hopeful since my ob/gyn said that by taking certain hormones I may be able to have a period again. At this stage I'm not sure of anything so that's why I am going to see a specialist and get their opinion. I wish you the best and I'd like to hear how everyone else's pregnancies are going. Take care.
