I am 32 years old I have 2 healthy children. My husband left us and I have a new boyfriend and we want to have a baby together. I had a balloon ablation 2 years ago and I had a tubal in 2002. My periods are normal. I did not have periods for 9 months after the ablation. When I did start having them in Dec 2006 they were heavy and longer than before. Now they are back to normal. I have a healthy period every month with moderate bleeding. I work in an OB office and I am kind of embarrased to ask if I can go through IVF to conceive since I have had an ablation and a tubal. I heard from a friend that it's not impossible it's just really risky. Please help!

I have divorced and am with a wonderful man that does not have any children. I was deceived about being sterile....I really want to have a child! I have heard of things such as Provera to bring on a period and also baby aspirin every day to promote lining growth.....Let me know how all of you pregnant ladies that have had these procedures are doing!!!!!

I just found out today that I am 7 weeks and 4 days pregnant, and in shock! I am not sure how to feel, I have always felt like babies are a gift and yet I can't stop crying. I had an ablation 5 years ago when I was married and had two boys already and we were done. I have been dating my boyfriend for about a year and a half and he has a son as well. We didn't want anymore children, but now that I am pregnant I am so confused about what to do. I have been looking for all the risks involved in pregnancy after ablation and my ob/gyn told me today of many risks to the baby and myself. I partly feel like it's not fair to my boys to put myself at risk for this unwanted pregnancy, but I also feel that this baby inside of me deserves every chance. Anybody else out there going thru something similar?

Hi, I'm experiancing the exact same situtation. Is there any hope??? I met the most wonderful man in the world and he wants a child. I'm currently 38 with a 18 yr. old daughter. If it's possible I would love to experiance child birth again. I currently have no cycle and almost feeling all hope is lost.

Has anyone had a tubal and uterine ablation done and still conceived? I had a tubal done in 2004 and an ablation done in 2006. I know that I would have to have my tubal reversed, but was unsure of the success rate. I am remarried and really want a child with my husband. I know there are many risks involved, which I am willing to take. Anybody out there who knows? My gynecologist would have a fit if he found out I was considering pregnancy as there are other issues which would make me "high risk".

I am 6 weeks pregnant after having an ablation about 2 years ago. My Dr. said that it is uncharted territory. I am not sure as to what to do should I continue with the pregnancy or terminate. My Dr. says it is very high risk with the placenta growing through my uterus and attaching to other organs. Help what should I do (i also have two girls 12 and 5) They both were high risk youngest was born 11 weeks early.
I hope someone is out there that can tell me that they had a healthy baby after an ablation, as i do wish to continue if possible

I am 39 and had tubal ligation over 16 years ago and ablasion.I am in a relationship and now want to have my tubal reversed and try to get pregnant as I still spot.I see some of the feed back here is postive.MY BF really wants a baby and this is holding up us from going further with the relationsip even though I have been honest with him from the beginning.
Despite my age being against me also this seems like alot to take in,but thanks to some postive i am willing to go forward to try.
But my question is,most doctors seem to be so negative about this. How do I choose a doctor to help me try this?and is a fertility specialist someone I need to see.
Help!!!!
