I have the same issues and have been looking into the VITE20 you mention, but can you tell me do you then use this every day or do you just put it on before / after the nail treatment to keep the symptoms at bay.
thanks

I as well have had this problem, I have the answer!! I got acrylic nails for about 10 years after the birth of my second daughter I began a new birth control and I don't know if it was coincidence or why, but my fingers would blister up, itch like crazy then the skin would peel back...I stopped wearing nails for 5 years tried again and the same nightmare. I've had only 2 things work after working with a friend that is a nail tech, you CANNOT use gel polish, and you have to get a nail that is not acrylic, either one alone or together and my hands are gonna go through hell. They have a new Dipping powder, where the powder is the color you pick and no polish is needed. I know I get this "dip" powder and I have no problems at all and they are strong!

Same story here. I've been wearing some form of nails for years. Both shellac and pink and whites. No problems. Three weeks ago I had acrylics filled and, offhandedly, noticed itching, burning, peeling and general soreness/sensitivity. I figured I was reacting to some food I'd handled. Fast forward. Last week I had my nails done and, within 2 hours, my hands were burning like heck. It actually felt like I'd burnt my fingertips on the stove. They've itched for 6 days, the cuticles are red, swollen and peeling. AND my fingers are turning black at the desensitized site. I've also been having terrible joint pain. Incidentally, I successfully wore lash extensions for about 9 months. Loved them. Had no problems. After 9 months I began having a terrible reaction. My eyes would swell shut, itch like crazy and then peel. Not exactly the look I was trying to achieve. We tried different lashes, different glue and different adhesive patches. Just kept getting worse and worse. My understanding is that a person can develop allergies at any point in life. I should mention that I've never had allergies before now. In conclusion, I've given up lashes, given up nails and decided to use the money for a massage or facial instead. First world problems.

i am so glad to read i am not the only one. I, too, suffer from all these symptoms! I would start by getting this little blisters on the tips of my fingers they would be filled with a clear liquid. Once popped, i would be able to peel my skin off all the way up to my knuckles (weird and painful!) After that, My fingertips would become extremely dry as if I had fungus!! It looks gross and it is painful. I gave up on getting my nails done ever again until one day this girl had some her nails done and I loved the color on the nails. I asked her where she had gotten them done and she told me they were press on nails from ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** posting of web addresses is not allowed*** Please read our Terms of Use. Anyways, I THOUGHT THIS WAS THE ANSWER TO MY PRAYERS!!!BUUUUUTTT, sadly it was not. I put them on and the first set last me around 2 weeks and everything went well. I was so happy because the designs are so beautiful and they actually looked like if I had gone to get them done. Then I put on my 2nd set and everything changed! My fingertips started getting dry and peeling like before. I hate this! I am a nail biter and I want to be girly lol

I have been getting mine done for around 10 years and then last year my fingers started cracking and bleeding. I changed nails salons but it continued. Went to the doctor and he told me it was a fungus. That was wrong. Since then I have discovered it has to do with the acrylic gel. It irritates the skin around my nails. When I get the dip, nothing happens.
