I have problems with my respiratory system very often. I also develop acute sinusitis at least once for a month. I use nasal drops every day, I think that I’ve already become resistant to its action. I use analgesic to decrease nasal pain. I feel like my face is swollen and I breathe hardly. Do you have any advice? Post if you have found better way to treat acute sinusitis.

I use Tylenol, 2 tablets every 6 hours. It’s helpful in sinus pain. I avoid using antihistamines because they cause dry nasal mucosa and it causes decreased ability of sinus to drain. Decongestants help sinuses to drain. Else what you can do is to rinse your sinuses with saline solution, you can by it as otc or use home made one. I know that sometimes antibiotics are required in acute sinusitis.
