Since i was 14 I have always had an irregular period (usually around 2-3 weeks late), as I have 'lazy ovaries'. I was due for my period on the 14th, on the 15th I had cramps but no bleeding. This is where it gets tricky... Still no sign, on the 21st I had unprotected sex and took the morning after pill. It is now the 30th and still no sign of my period. My breasts were tender a few days back and today I'm very bloated, hot, and cramps come and go. I also have been getting headaches. Should I be worried?

If you took the morning after pill in time for it to work, than it probably has done what it was supposed to do ad besides the morning after pill, the unprotected sex happened when your period was already late, so I doubt that you were ovulating. But, morning after pill just added to the hormonal imbalance you have been experiencing - the large dose of hormones from the morning after pill is quite capable of causing major changes in your menstrual cycle and it seems like you are now going through a bad PMS. Since your period is way late already, you can do the pregnancy test, but it will probably be negative and you will just have to wait for your period to come.

I actually received my period today!
While the cramps are quite bad and the bleeding is pretty heavy, I am definately relieved.
I have started the contraceptive pill today as the pack says, so fingers crossed from now on I'll have a regular period.
