Anchorman vs. Dodgeball

Both were rife with adolescent humor, which I loved. I found Dodgeball the funnier of the two (Stiller, Vaughn, and a cameo by Lance Armstrong). Although some of the one-liners from Anchorman really stuck with me.

Anchorman played on a lot of the same 70's humor that Starsky and Hutch played to. (Smoking to excess, drinking to excess, funky clothes, sexual harrassment/discrimination)

Dodgeball had a few scenes of innuendo, but had some hellafubby moments.


I enjoyed both for different reasons. But, otoh, both were stupid and juvenile and fun to watch.

I. love. DODGEBALL! 'Stupid humor' at its wittiest. Loved the cameo of Lance. LOVED Rip Torn. Nearly peed at Jason Bateman. Hilarious to see Vince Vaughn play the straight character and play off of Ben Stiller doing Zoolander but X10 in fubby. Very very funny. My side hurt when I left the theater. We have a pirate on our team?? :fubby: I am hoping to finally see Anchorman this weekend.

Dodgeball had some pretty funny moments. (Almost too many funny one-liners to remember.) I hope see Anchorman soon to compare and contrast.

I would really love to see Dodgeball again. "You know, when I was diagnosed with Brain, lung, and testicular cancer at the same time, I never gave up, but I am sure you have a good reason to give up..."

I just saw Dodgeball last night. Freakin' HILARIOUS!!! Recommended to me in this fashion by a fellow Riff Raffer: "If you liked Napoleon Dynamite, you will love Dodgeball." Good call, dude!! I thought this was even funnier, and I'm one of the few here who actually liked Napoleon.

Anchorman, not so funny. I'm not a huge Will fan to begin with, but I'd definitely rank Dodgeball as far ahead of Anchorman on the comedic spectrum.

I havent seen Dodgeball yet but I watched Anchorman last night and I was really disappointed. I am glad I didn't pay to watch it, Oh well it was only 2 hours of my life.

I finally saw Wedding Crashers. Frustrating and hilarious by turns. (Same actors)

It have no idea what makes it so funny to me, I usually hate stupid humor, but when I think of . "maaaaa, where's my f%^$& meatloaf" I lose it

"maaaaa, where's my f%^$& meatloaf" I lose it Or "I'm going to have to go ice my .... and spit up blood now". The meatloaf thing cracks me up, too. What about the scene when he gets tied up and everyone and their dog visits him?
