I need to take antibiotics for bronchitis, i realise that antibiotics lessen the effects of the pill, but what if i were taking the antibiotics during my placebo week when i am not taking any active pills? Am i still protected during that week since the pill has already been absorbed for that week?

hi, antibiotics actually effect the rate of absorption of the pill through the stomach lining, as the consequences of reduced contraception are significant it would always be recommended that condoms are used during the course and for 7 days after taking the course of antibiotics. hope this helps.
