PAY ATTENTION!!!! Last week I was driving home from work. I had a very stressful work and had been working double hours to finish a project.....not surprisingly, I did not take care of my body as usually. One evening I was still at the office and felt really tired and energy-less. I was suspecting I might had hyperglycemia and I measured at the office and it was elevated. So I opted to stop working, go home, relax and get my sugar under control. As I was driving I was feeling worse and I was pulled over by the police - regular chekpoint they commonly checked, I was not speeding or anything. The officers insisted I am drunk and arrested me and took me to the station, where it took me hours to explain I am diabetic.,,, finally I had my blood drawn which confirmed my claims... I am frustrated, I should sue to polive for their treatment! Anybody had a similar experience?

Hi Guest,

Sue?  Sorry but I disagree.

While you were not drunk you were still apparently in no condition to be driving.  You endangered someone else's life just as a drunk might.

You're lucky you made it home.  Next time call for a ride.

In this state you could lose your license for operating impaired - yes, for a medical condition as well as being drunk.

The life you save might be your own, or mine, or someone else's.
