I have heard that bactrum may cause severe problems with blood count. I used it for several times when had middle ear infection. After that I didn’t recognized any symptoms of harmed immunity or something. Is it really that dangerous to use bactrum often or how often would it be dangerous? What exactly it can do to harm one’s blood count?

Yes, it is known that bactrim may cause blood problems. It decreases immunity and that way makes chances for certain infections greater. Gums bleeding are also not rare to occur, so it is not recommended to have dental work during on bactrim. It is of course not that seriously harmful and is very effective antibiotic that is widely used, even in children. It is not recommended to take any antibiotic very often because of development of resistance and its harming effect on stomach flora.
