Hi... Can anybody help me with some medical advice? I have an inflamed throat. It is really hurting me, and I can hardly swallow any food or drink. At night, the inflammation makes it a challenge for me to sleep. I feel worse and worse, rather than slowly improving, so I think it is time for some drugs. What is the best drug for inflammation? If you want to take pain killers and anti-inflammatories, the first thing I can think of that you can get over the counter is ibuprofen. You can also consider trying to clear your throat with a solution of saline water. But, if your condition is causing you that much discomfort, I do suggest that you go and see a doctor. Maybe you need some heavier drugs, like prednisone or antibiotics.
