Yes I think your doctor messed up. If you look at the procedure for novasure they have to measure your uterine length and width using the mesh probe before they even start the actual ablation.

It sounds like it was done wrong. If you look at the novasure procedure they are supposed to measure your uterine length and width with the device and the measurements then are put into the machine.

I had Thermachoice done about 5 years ago. I had severe cramping after and the discharge lasted several months AND I still got periods lasting 5-6 days throughout that first year. After that it went back to 7-9 heavy days. Now I'm considering doing another ablation because that first was a complete failure. Ugh. Going to look into Novasure.

I have done the Novasure and it really isn't a big deal. You are sore afterward well because your insides were just burnt. but after a day or two with IBprofen it's all just fine. Something to think about is that both procedures are not 100% effective. I had mine done over a year ago and I am already getting my periods and cramps back. Everyone is different and I knew this risk going into the procedure, I just thought maybe I would get 5 years without periods.

Mine never did! I ended up with sacral pain, horrible pain bleeding and a hysterectomy 2 months later.
However, i found after my uterus was prolapsed, inflamed and the size of 4ish months pregnant. I wa amber told this until I requested medical records after due to inability to work and stand.
one tick d off woman and now hip surgery from walking compensation from pain!

Be very careful having a second endometrial ablation. A second ablation Is contraindicated because the first treatment reduced the thickness of the uterine wall. A second treatment could burn all the way through your now thin uterus and cause severe damage to your intestines and bladder just outside your uterus. Women have died from this complication. It's not worth it!

Thank you! I had a hysteroscopy polypectomy with myosure a couple weeks ago and I am STILL on birth control to control my period and I an still on percocet because when I stop taking the pills the cramps are so severe, it feels like sever gas cramps and I can't even get out of best or eat anything. I hate pills so I am taking less than was recommended but it makes it tolerable to go to work but I was thinking of Novasure since my uterus is a bit smaller and a little oddly shaped she said. I dont have children but I don't want any and the doctor said she would do it for me if I'm completely positive I don't want kids which I reassured her that I don't and should I change my mind in the future I would adopt! So many kids or there with no parents. I don't know if having such severe cramps is normal after my polypectomy or not but I didn't even have cramps this bad before the procedure and almost wish I had left the polyps but I have had a non stop period since November and it's March 2, 2017 now so, I just needed to have something done. I will def go for the novasure and hope it works. I just want my life back. I'm 33 years old and I would do anything to not bleed or have these cramps anymore.Oagain, thanks for your insight! My doc said if the novasure doesn't work I will probably need a hysterectomy but of course that's my LAST option.

Today's date is 4/10/17 and I am 50 yrs old. I had the Novasure procedure done 8 yrs ago and it's been the best decision. I had my tubes tied at 32 and began having menopausal symptoms and very heavy, painful periods with clotting. After my Novasure I had cramping for about a week with some brownish discharge on and off for a month. Since then in the first year I'd have a tinge of pink then I wiped but no periods. Saved a lot of money not having to buy pads and tampons!!! But that's it...nothing now. No spotting. No menopause symptoms. Please remember though that every body is different. I just saw my Gyn last week and she said it's rare for it to last more than 5 yrs. I'm glad it did!

ThermaChoice ablation has been off the market for a couple if years. Good to know that your doctor is offering a procefure off the market. The company said they removed it for financial reasons. Recalls indicate due to recalls from leakage of burning saline

You don't have to be past child bearing years, just be sure your family planning is complete. I had to have a Minerva ablation as well as sterilization due to a bleeding issue that nearly took my life. My doctor chose the Minerva over novasure due to the accuracy and length the procedure lasts. Minerva should be completely permanent.

No endometrial ablation procedure is safe. Most women regret it. The intent of ablation is to cause severe scar tissue called Asherman's Syndrome. Have a tubal ligation procedure as well. You are asking for more trouble. This is a pharmaceutical bonanza for your gynecologist as well. Learn more. Learn the truth.

And now you will most likely get PATSS. Labor like pain down your back legs and abdomen. You have been duped!

I just had the NovaSure done as a in-office procedure. It took, no time at all. I opted for the in-office procedure instead of going to the hospital so I didn't get any anesthesia so it was quite painful before the procedure probably would have helped significantly (ibuprofen for the 90 second part where they actually open the mesh screen and transmit the radio waves, however when they removed it, the pain subsided. Also, my doctor completed the procedure during day 3 of another very heavy period. The only side effects I experienced were normal menstrual type cramps and some nausea during and immediately afterwards. I took one day off from work and will be back at my desk job tomorrow.
