My friend had the same but switched to Yasmin and she lost all her wieght so I'd deffo recoment starting on that if given the choice...

Your post is silly... and contradictory. First you said you didnt gain weight, then you said you gained 5 - 10. So, which was it, 5?6?7?8?9?10? Your pist was pretty useless.

I tried tasking for 6 days and my hair started falling out really bad. Hair loss is one of the side effects. Needless to say I am not on it.

I have been using microgestin 1/20 for about 9 months now and I have gone from 165 to 150 and I haven't experienced any weight gain or appetite increase. actually less! :( i am kinda worried about that part though because its not like i have gotten a good workout or anything. I have however experienced extreme nausea and depression and am tired ALL the time. i cry at anything and everything and I have horrible mood swings that make me wonder why I got so upset. Is this cause for worry?

It is bullsh*t that the pill dosen't make you gain weight! i am 19 years old and have been a steady weight of 99lbs for the past 4 years... it is NOT a coinidence that i have been on the pill for 4 months and gained 6 lbs.. i have always been thin and have not dont anything difffernt diet wise or exercising wise.. so it is DEFF the pill. They need to re-research this.

I just finished my first year of being on beyaz, I must admit I have stayed away from scales but I know for sure I have gained weight because my clothes don't fit as good as they did this time last year and my stomach definitely looks bigger.

It's very frustrating for me because I feel like I'm always making good choices, I don't over eat, I indulge in sugar some but not everyday or anything, I drink mostly water, and 90% of the time I'm in the gym doing cardio for an hour each day, 6 days a week, and do light weight training some at home. And no I haven't kept the same workout routine everyday for the past year, I switch the stuff I do up very regularly so I know it's not just my body getting used to a workout. I work out so hard, I am drenched in sweat at the end of each workout and after a year I'm just feeling like it's all for nothing.

I have an appointment with my gyno August 8th and I'm going to have a talk with my boyfriend about it and see if it's a good choice for me to take a break from this for awhile to see if I can get anywhere with my weight loss. This time last year I would say I was around 170-175 I would say now I'm probably 10 lbs. more than that, I know that's probably the standard it seems for most people and not a big deal but when I want to lose weight and I'm in the gym most nights busting my butt and getting nowhere I think it's time to try and do something about it.

I need help with this! Let me share my story.... My whole life, I had been underweight. I mean, like I never got past 100 lbs up until I was 19, and I'm only 5'4", so I actually looked sickly. I blamed this due to my insanely high metabolism... I ate like the proverbial horse and never ever gained a pound. At 19, I became pregnant with my only child, and suddenly I packed on the pounds. I gained something like 50-60 lbs, and the dr said not to worry because I had been so underweight before. After my daughter was born, within 5 months, I was back down to 110 lbs, and I didn't mind it at all, because I looked a lot healthier. But then when I was around 21-22, my period started getting really weird, like it wouldn't stop for over a month. I went to a dr, and she said going on birth control would help regulate it and it did. I can't remember what brand it was, but I don't think I ever gained more than 5 lbs on it. About a year after that, I stopped taking bc altogether, hoping that my period situation would resolve itself ( I lost my health ins. and couldn't afford them anymore), and it did for a while. But then about a year ago, I started bleeding continuously again, and I went to family planning to start bc again. Now, I'm on Ortho-cylen, I'm 25, and I weigh about 120 lbs. This doesn't sound like a big deal, but the problem is, most of the weight is centered around my midsection, mostly my stomach and my hips. I've never had this problem my whole life, and it is making me super depressed. I'm a bartender, and most of my income depends on me looking good, but I'm just so freaked out about this. I can't fit into clothes that I wore after my daughter was born, and I don't know what to do. I have to stay on bc because the frequent bleeding also takes a heavy toll on me emotionally, and I don't want to deal with it again. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do???

I am only 15 and started the pill due to period related issues and within the 1st month of going on the pill gained 19 pounds. I am going to go on a strict exercise regime/ diet for the next 3 months to try and counteract the weight gain. I feel as though I may be pregnant and am eating for two, no joke.

The fact that you wrote at the end "putting on a condom or two" makes me not believe your whole statement. If you wear more than one condom it will tear because of the friction. DO NOT WEAR MORE THAN ONE CONDOM.

if they don't cause weight gain, then why is it that, before taking the pill that i'm on now, i didn't get insane hunger, but now i do and sometimes i can't stop eating. And if i don't eat for a couple of hours, i get so hungry that i feel sick and lightheaded? I've gained 8 lbs now since starting the pill that i'm on now.

I completely disagree..... I have never had a problem weight gaining weight my entire life until i got on implanon!!!! Seriously.... It has gotten ridiculous... I got off the implanon like a month an a half ago... Now on ortho tri... WOW gaining more weight!! My breast hurt 99% of the time.. Not to mention change in bra size, pant size.... Like what??? I do not see how someone can seriously say bc does not cause weight gain.. It only seems to make sense to me... As a female, especially during your younger years, you are producing an abundance of progesterone and estrogen in your body as it is... This gives you all your secondary characteristics... Your nice curves etc.. What does birth control have in it? These hormones... Either estrogen or progesterone.... How can you add something to your body that already has abundance of it and it not cause weight gain... I am only 23.. My metabolism shouldn't be on the crappy end right now at all.. In reality, it seems to be better to do just do it the old fashion way.. Not take ANYTHING. Oh yeah.. I am in nursing school.. In one of my classes, EBP states that oral contraceptives can actually cause you to get cancer?? WHAT??? It drives me wild how pharmaceuticals help with other things but rarely tells you how it can actually hurt you worse.

Please don't try Yaz. I did lose weight on Yaz, but the risk of blood clots is too real and too large. I can't believe these are our choices... :(
