I was at a party last night (Dec 30th) and ended up sleeping with this guy. I have been on birth control for a year and a half now, but the condom broke and neither of us knew if he pulled out before he came. What are my chances of pregnancy? Should I/Do I need Plan B?

Hi Chii,

If you are taking your birth control, as directed, you DO NOT need Plan B.

DO NOT take it as a "backup" either. You don't need the extra hormones or side effects.

Your regular birth control is MUCH more effective at preventing pregnancy by itself.  The condom is really only needed for STD protection.  Chances of pregnancy are very low.

Hope it helps.

I just remembered something! I was taking my pill around 11 p.m. And that night I had sex i took it at 8 p.m. Before the party. Would that effect my chances of pregnancy?

No Chii, it won't. As long as you took your pill you're protected.
