I'm hoping someone might be able to help me out with this...I have been on the contraceptive pill for a few years now and just skipped my recent period. while having sex with my boyfriend last night I began to bleed a considerable amount and it stopped straight after we had finished. This isn't a normal occurance. I was curious as to whether it's possible that the bleeding was some of the period that I skipped from my last menstrual cycle.
I'm quite nervous because my sister recently had some precancerous stuff (don't know what to call it) removed from her cervix. BUT in saying that, I've had the HPV (i think that's it) vaccination.

Luci, first thing is to stop worrying. Second, it sounds like a discharge, but if there was clear blood in it and 'considerable' amount of it, I'd check with your Gyno as soon as possible. It might be simple thing as a tear (specifically if the sex was rough, and/or you might not lubricate enough), or a polyp... it is hard to say what it was over the inernet -- but blood is a cause for further inspection by the Gynocologist, and that is what I recommend doing.
