Especially since having gall bladder surgery..I am having extreme bloating after eating. I can eat very small portions and still get this.
My stomach has a bloated look at ALL times, but after eating it gets hard as a rock. I do feel bad after eating too. And pretty much any food does this. But of course fatty or fried foods are worse.

I am not eating that much and I am not losing any weight at all. My energy level is not what it use to be either. My neck area is also very bloated looking.

It has been over a year since having my gall bladder out. Prior to that I did have the look of having a "beer belly"...even though I rarely drink. But I never had that hardness as I do now. I was a heavy pop drinker, and that may have been part of it...but I have now cut pop almost completely out. But still no weight loss and etc.

Hi

I researched this and it says the most common symptoms after gall bladder removal are bloating, and indigestion. It says you need to discuss this with your physician for further help

Hi i had my gall bladder tooken out about 5 years ago. it didnt go well. i was released the same day the next morning i was cramped in too i couldnt breathe i was so much in pain went to the hospital and told them i was operated yesterday anyways they say awww its just the post operation sore they gave me a needle and sent me home well of course i felt better for a couple of hours then it happened again but worse i couldnt even put on the seatbelt in the car i had a pillow holding my stomach it hurted so much. they kept me in emergency until my doctor who operated me to come and see me. anyway he got me a room and put me on serum and that all he said it will go away. suddenly 2 days later i was in pain so bad my mouth was burnt i was having a hard time to breath and when i went to Pee it was burning like hell. finally he was told from other doctors that if he didnt operate me and see what was going on they were going to do it. Finally he brought me into the operating room and i had no medication for the pain since Friday. Anyways i end up awake in the intensive care my lung collapse in the operating room. They found that it was not tied right and all the acid was all in my stomach and going into my digestive track that why i was burnt in the mouth and my lower part of my body. if you ever been operated you know you get this pouch for liquid coming out after operations. anyways his assistant he said there were at least 3 to 4 full pouches of acid in my stomach i ended up in the hospital for 3 weeks. i feel the same as yous bloated full hard stomach even when i dont eat it hurts so bad i sometimes eat only one meal. i have acid reflux and i have constantly diaherria mostly everyday that is yellow and it burns. i know i am not a physician but i think that the gall bladder is still not attached well and the acid is seaping out slowly. if anyone who has the same problem please tell me i feel like i am not normal and doctors just say indegestion. i hope there is someone who can help me with this problem its not liveable i cant go out if i have eaten or i end up having the diahareea so mostly i eat late when i am home. this is not a normal life for anyone we are in 2010 and we cant have someone help us in digestion PLEASE HELP!!!

I had my GallBladder removed 10 weeks after the birth of my daughter, and gained 30 pounds in 6 months. I've always been a healthy eater.....eating mainly vegs ( Salads with italian dressing - frozen vegs with crunchy noodles ) and eat only 1 real meal a day which is what I cook for Dinner for my family.

I have a constant bloated feeling and could EASILY pass as being 4-5 months pregnant witht he bloating of the entire stomach.  I spend half my day in the restroom having bowels movements, mainly in the morning.

Went from a size 12 after the birth of my daughter,  my origianl size and my original weight of 175 and being in the best health of my life, until having these attachs and removal. SOMEONE has to have answers PLEASE

Hi

I had my surgery on the 29th Aug (in the UK) 2012.  I too have after eating bloating, but this is normal as the digestive system is slower and trying to work out what happened!

What has helped me feel less bloated (and lose more weight)

No fizzy drinks

lots of water or herbal tea

small meals, stop eating the second you start to feel full

lots of chewing

no junk food at all

eat at the same time every day if you can (trains the digestion)

veg or chicken soups

no dairy

no gluten (gluten free breads are so nice these days)

no sugar

light daily exercise (when appropriate)

healthy oils (Omega 3) help keep the bile duct smooth running

I know that sounds very boring, but you can make a lot of tasty healthy foods with veg, rice, chicken etc.  I am so grateful that I have not had any sickness or runs, so far so good.  I will carry on with my current way of eating as it seems to work.

Be well

Beady Bliss

I had my gallbladder removed 3 years ago and have had all the symptoms you've described- but my consultant has just given me sachets of colestyramine (Questran light). I am currently only taking 1 a day with my main meal and have had no more pain or need to rush to the loo. The bloating is still bad but I've been told to up the amount of sachets to reduce the bloating. You can have apparently up to 6 a day.
Hopefully the bloating will reduce as a trial out what my body needs. I no longer need to be on a special diet as before. I hope this may help fellow sufferers. Good luck

I have a big stomach bulge after my gall bladder removal even though I am single, have never been married, or had children. Is there a way to reduce this bulge? Also, a lot of acid reflux and breathlessness are present.
