36 yr old male, dx w/ Crohn's 3 years ago. Has "stomach flare-ups" on occassion. Approximately 6 months ago began having severe pressure, pain and red/purple toes. Starts seeing wound clinic for cellulitis. Toes are not healed yet. Goes in for DOT physical last week, pegs the dipstick test off the charts for the UA. The test strip color for blood in urine is way darker than the reference strip on the bottle. Took sample under microscope, and there are no red blood cells found.??? Sent off to lab. (still waiting) Could these issues be related to his Crohn's or something more serious? He's had some stomach issues lately but has not shared with provider(s). Doesn't think serious enough. Wonder if getting Remicade treatment for crohn's should be an option or if the multiple issues are related? :-| :-| ?
