Boil on inner thigh

Hi 

I had a boil on my inner thigh, it formed a head filled with pus and on the next day,  it got burst and pus is coming out of it, i tried to drain out the pus and clean it with antiseptic solution and put antibitic ointment around it and the next day the mouth of that boil got closed but still their is a bump inside it and causing itching and it's been a week it got smaller but still hard inside. Is it a big problem or can be a cause of cancer because it's still inside my skin? Please help!
