Hello ladies, Im a little relieved to know I'm not the only one having these problems. I had a C-section 5 & a half months ago. Ever since, I've been having stomach problems. I'm constantly constipated, I have a bowel movement only every 3 days, I'm super bloated, and always gassy. & to top it off It smells so bad. Not normal. Sorry if that's to much info. I don't know what to do. It's so uncomfortable

I had the same issue after my second c-section. Stop all wheat and all sugar (except real honey and real maple syrup) and it should relieve the problem. I stopped all wheat and I started having normal bowels, I decided to eat wheat again one day and the problem came back that same day !

Hey I know its been a year since you posted but I'm having the same problem. I had 3 c-sections 1 in 2010, 2015 and 1 in 01-15-2016
With tubal legation. Since then I've been having painful bowl movements like contractions and throwing with dry heden. I can't take it anymore. What did your dr say? Also I had scar tissue with the last 2. That's why I had to get a classical c-section.
Please help..

Good day ladies. I will be 62 in November. My youngest daughter is 24. I had 2 girls via c-section. After, I had my second c-section, I noticed I had to pee constantly like every 45 mins and if I did not get to the bathroom I would seriously pee in my pants. I use to run 30 miles a week. I experienced problems on my left side. My left leg felt pushed into the socket, my stomach was bloated, running NOW made my neck, leg, back and left side joint ache. I gave up running and tried walking. That caused pain and incapacitated my Left side. Still to this day, after 23 years the problems have increased. Constant constipation, bloated belly. I now do yoga. The stretching helps with my bowels. I can't walk long distances, my back hurts and I find the poo comes out and I can't stop it causing me to poop in my pants when walking long distances. It's disgusting. I was very active. I don't eat the big belly I have. The yoga I do, I should NOT have this belly. It's disheartening. I've been to several doctors. I've had a laparoscopy, endoscopy, been scoped had a colonoscopy. Nothing has helped. I'm embarrassed my belly is so big. Lately, i feel like my left side has a knot in it. It's ALL so annoying. It effects my sex life now as I feel constipated constantly and bloated that does not feel sexy..

wow I needed to know i am not alone!!! I had my son 2012 and i had a major infection to where i had a open wound for 11 weeks. some times i have such bad pain it is like i am giving birth naturally . sometimes i have the poops so bad and long i start pooping stomach bile !! I have gone from 267 to 210 from pooping alone. i went to the dr who said my pain was not his problem and he did not think my c section was the problem only way of finding out is to open me up. this summer alone i got stuck in the bathroom at the ball park for 45 mi with horrible pain and runs . i am lost and dumb because i can afford to keep going to the dr and paying for them to tell me they dont know .

Hi there
I had a section in 2003 and my bowel has never been the same since. Prior to that I moved my bowels every day but now find I'm badly constipated or urgently needing to evacuate bowels. I also had wind internally occasionally after c section but now have it constantly. Went to the doctor last week who has given me peppermint tablets for the wind and put me on a gluten free diet but I still have it and the pain that goes with it. am going back next week.
It's miserable and I feel for all you ladies affected by this.

Not sure if you sorted your problem. I just stumbled across this.
If not, check your thyroid. It's known for thyroid problems to come about after surgery. Be careful though, the normal limits for the blood test are different everywhere. The magic number you are looking for is 1-2.5 or 3. No more. Even 3.1 can make you feel insane. There are so many symptoms!
I went through this after surgery. It was undiagnosed for YEARS. Even thought I was bipolar. The 4th doc in 4 years finally checked it. And now, with meds I'm fine.

I dont have an answer but I have the same problem but the stool softeners will make it worse trust me. I was put on every stool softener and because of the blockage it still wouldn't come out. It was easier to grab the hard ones with my finger then having soft stool. I definitely need to make an appointment with a G.I doctor because it's been 4 years since my c section. First I had pain where the scar was and I couldn't wear pants or under wear. Finally they gave me two big shots which broke up the scar tissue but now I am having bowel issues. Good luck to you hopefully you got some answers

I am also finding much comfort in reading that I am not alone. I had an emergency csection after being pumped with hormones for days. It'll be 2 yrs this January and I still feel bloated and tender. Especially after exercise. I feel as though my stomach is still weak and now I swear I can feel everything moving slowly through my body. It feels as though everything is jumbled up and has been rearranged. As I read I am grateful that my symptoms are not worse than they are. And I send all of you strong as hell mamas on this forum healing vibes and relief.

Hi kathy you should try having yougurt/curd (without sugar) during meal times twice or thrice a day. It will increase the pro-biotic bacteria in your gut. Will surely ease bowel irritation. Secondly also have ginger juice (Half a thumb sized piece) crushed and boiled in half a glass of water and add a little turmeric powder ( 1/3 spoon) as it boils. Both these herbs are anti-inflammatory and have detoxifying properties. This should help. God bless you. Get well...
