I have a small bust and I THINK I fit a 34A (US) or 12A (NZ/AUS) cup, but I measured myself recently the way you are supposed to. First around the ribcage under the breasts and then around the fullest part of your bust. Then finding the difference. I got two inches +
apparently this makes me a B cup, it just doesn't seem right. I'd feel great if I was a B because I hate being an A. I double checked and everything but for some reason I still feel I still fit an A! I just bought some new bra's yesterday as well. I'm going to feel horrible (as I removed the tags and everything) if they are not the right size. What are some other ways of determining the right bra size? How will I know if the cup is to big or to small??!
I am to embarrased to go to a specialist and get measured properly.
HELP PLEASE!!!

Hi honey! Do you know that it is estimated that 95% of women are wearing the wrong cup size? That most women should be wearing a bigger cup and smaller band? I have a feeling that you ARE a B and the right fitting will prove that! It is NOT embarrassing at all to fitted by a professional fitter - they have seen EVERY size on the planet! And can get you fitted properly and have your girls supported correctly!
I will tell you a funny TRUE story - Now THIS IS embarrassing - 5 years ago my family and I went on a trip of a lifetime to England/Wales And France! I swore to myself and my girlfriends that I would bring them back a sexy French bra! So I went into the most famous store in Paris - La Samaritaine - So I am a 42 HH!!! An NO WHERE in France you will find my size as they are ALL size ZERO! So there I stood, with my little French book, and limited French and asked for a Bra FOR my friends - The bra lady misunderstood me and thought it was for me - because when you are explaining you do the hand movements right? So I put my hand on my chest for "Mois Amis" So she ran around the wracks and brought several large bras to me and in the MIDDLE of the aisle, grabbed each bra cup and placed it over my breast to see if it would fit!!!!! o.O GORGEOUS men and women walking by me, an there I am :$ - So she kept TUTTING and shaking her head and saying "NON!!!" And then she put up her hands - after about 6 bras and shouted "NON ........!" I was MORTIFIED! I left the store after buying a soap!!! LOL I bought my girlfriends these sexy little bras at a market, but alas nada for me! So Think of me when you go for you fitting OK? And thank your girls for being there OK? Good luck and success!

That kind of like me! Only different! I measured myself too, and it says I should be a 34B, so thats what i've been wearing. But all my friends think i'm a C. I've tried on C's but I swear their too big!! And honestly, I think a B might be too small for me but i don't know! i think my boobs are like two different sizes o.O like i know its normal for one to be a little bigger or whatever, but a B seems to fit one of my boobs perfect and the other not so much :-( its so frustrating!
I'm like you too, i'm not comfortable getting properly fitted yet :$

Thank you both for your posts. I'm quite glad I stumbled across steadyhealth.com and joined, your comments have helped. =) I am also glad to know I am not the only one with this problem, guest. I hope you get things sorted out! I now see your idea of a bra embarrasment, Bambi and thank you for sharing lol, it has encouraged me, haha.
To both of you remember this! IF I of ALL people can go into a bra fitting and have my girls hanging in the wind!!!!! -HEH I had 2 kids!!!! ;-) XD And they have to lift them to put them in a cup! I think both of you B/C lades can get in there and have them just fit a bra over for crying out loud!!!!! ;-) XD XD XD Just remember its ALL about the style, and shape of the bra!
Just like with clothing, the size can vary based on make & design. I take either a B or C cup, depending on the band size (I'm right on the fringe for measurments). A larger band size means I'd need the smaller cup; a smaller band size means a bigger cup. As embarrassing as it may seem, go into a store that you feel comfortable with, and ask for help with the sizing. the ladies that work there are professional, and you'll get a bra that fits correctly. Try a couple sizes, styles, using the different clasp positions. Eventually, you will find the right fit, but you'll likely need a lot of patience. I waited too many years to do this myself, but after doing so my bras are infinitely more comfortable than before, plus they look much perkier. Now when I go shoping, I try one of each size (B & C) to see which fits best.
Well worth the time to get fitted properly, and, at least where I went, not nearly as embarrassing as I thought it'd be.

most people can fit into more then one size it seem like you are in between fitting perfectly so i'd say in depends on if you want a snug or roomier fit. In any case don't feel bad about the bras you will most likely grow into them.
