I have had heavy nose bleeds since I was about 10. They come and go without a warning. Some years i get up 10 nosebleeds some years I get none. It has been going on for 16 years now, and I haven't got one for over a year now.
The bleeding is usually heavy enough to send me to emergency room. Some last 15 minutes , some 2 hours. I do get clumps of blood that come out of nose and down my throat. Usually I need to spit it out, becouse blood will go down my throat. I learned not to swolow it because it can cause stomack irritation and vomiting. If it is possible keepthe clump of blood in your nose, I know it is sometimes hard (because they get pretty big) not to just blow it out, but if I do that It will start bleeding all over again.
- I do have breathing problems on and off
- I was told it was a ruptured blood vessel in my nose, they did try to fix it (burn it shut with chemical liquid), but that has not stopped me from bleeding.
- After loosing much blood it is natural to feel lil dizzy
Hope this helps
