I gave up smoking 3 months ago following an attack of labyrinthitis. I use to smoke 40 a day. Since then I have also had a heavy summer cold which is now cleared up. I now appear to be suffering from a feeling of anxiety and shortness of breath. This is in the form of a feeling of not being able to breath in enough oxygen. This in turn leads to a feeling of claustrophobia and I have been unable to sleep at night having to get up and stand by an open window. I am on medication for blood pressure and take a statin at bedtime. I have only developed this in the past week. Is this an after effect of giving up smoking.
The same thing happened to me...but it was my blood pressure medication. I went into heart failure.... Please check it out....
I can not take calcium blockers or statins.... they can cause breathing problems... check on your pc....
