My girlfriend and I were having sex last night. As i pulled out after we both came, I found that the condom had broken while inside her. She had her period a week ago so she shouldn't be ovulating. But im still really worried. What are the chances that she's pregnant and what can we do to prevent it if she is? Please respond ASAP
To be honest, it all depends on how long her cycle lasts. Ovulation takes place 14-15 days before the next period would start. It lasts for 24 hours but the thing is that sperm may live up to 5 or even 7 days inside. So, even if you ejaculated before the ovulation, fertilization may still take place.
If a girl’s cycle lasts for 24 days for example, her ovulation would be on the 9th day after the cycle (period) began, meaning it would occur 3 days after her period ended if the period lasted 6 days.

Considering the event occurred like two days ago, you still have the chance to take the morning pill after aka plan B. You can get it in any pharmacy or even in Wal-Mart depending on where you live. The morning after pill was supposed to be taken within 72 hours after the unprotected intercourse but I heard that it may be taken even 5 days after.

If your girl thinks she is approaching ovulation, then she should have the morning pill after if she doesn’t want to become pregnant.

This pill may prevent pregnancy even if fertilization occurred by changing the endometrium in the uterus, so that the fertilized egg cannot be implanted.
