Hi, mi name is Daniela. I'm 17 and my boyfriend and i began having sex 3 months ago. We've always been very careful, used condoms, and made sure we steer clear of the fertile days of my menstrual cycle. We haven't had sex for some weeks now, and during these days i should be near my ovulation period. Usually when i ovulate i get the normal whitish discharge, but during the last 6 days or so i've been having a brownish discharge like little lumps, and i am constanly wet... this is really wierd and i don't know whats going on, so any advice would really help. could it be an infection? I can't go to the doctor, so if anyone knows what to do about it please let me know.
thanx!!
thanx!!
Dear Danni, hi, why cant you go to the doctor?? I think you should if you are worried. If it is a brown discharge, it sounds like old blood. sort of like when you get your period, it starts off bright red, then towards the end it changes to a brown colour, being the end of your period. Maybe the lumps are old clots for some reason. But best if you are worried to definately go to the Doctor
hi! thanks for your answer. the thing is, i can't go to the doctor because´, as i'm underage, i still depend on my parents on going to the doctor, coz of the insurance and everything. and well... they don't know i'm having sex with my boyfriend. if they found out, they would forbid me to see him or something. they'd ground me forever, basically. hehe... so that's why i can't go. anyway... it hasn't happened for a couple of days now, so i'm hoping it's finished :-) maybe it was old blood, who knows. i just hope its not something serious :-D.
I'm experiencing this same thing. My parents don't know I'm sexually active, and I'm having a strange brown discharge. What it is, I don't know. I've been told it's just old blood. But I've also been told that it's possible I had a miscarriage..
I hear ya. I'm 20 years old now, but I started being sexually active when I was 17 as well. As soon as this began, I went to Planned Parenthood because it is confidential. Here you can also recieve free, if not low cost birth control pills and even get tested for STDs. This is very important girls, you need to take care of your bodies and know what it going on. I hope this helps! www.plannedparenthood.org try to find a location near you.
I agree. You must consult a doctor as soon as you become sexually active if not before. Planned parenthood is a great place to go and like stated before it's confidential.
