I get these often as I do shave at least once a week, witch hazel works wonders. Just use a cotton bud or cotton wool soaked in witch hazel and hold it on it for a few minutes a few times a day until it comes to a head, it will pop on its own but don't try to burst it before its ready otherwise you'll end up with little scars like I have. its nothing to worry about ladies, just try to use a better razor :)

I do have herpes ( my partner was a scumbag) and if you get a outbreak it normally starts as a cluster of bumps normally inside your body. Herpes normally outbreak normally happens when the body is under distress. You dont sound like its the problem. I been dealing with it 18 yeRs and to be honest because i try to stay stress free and eat better. Herpes isnt the death sebtence i thought it was years ago and i truly think youre ok. Im glad you wrote your article because i have been getting horrible ingrown hairs and thd bath remedy seems plausible. Thanks all

This morning, after 3 days of a painful boil towards my butt/in my butt cheeks, it finally was drawn to a head and popped. So disgusting! And this is the 2nd time I have had a boil there, its occurred about 2 weeks after a XXX wax. I'm guessing its while the hair is growing back it's maybe becoming ingrown and infected with a boil? Or maybe the waxer isn't doing it right/sterilising properly? Either way, these things are painful! I didn't go to a doctor, I'm one for natural remedies, I had been soaking it in hot salt water 3 times a day plus having Epsom Salt baths, smeared honey on it (covered with a bandage), and dabbed tea tree oil on it. After 3 days it was bought to a pussing white head and finally burst out blood, puss and watery stuff! Good luck to anyone else dealing with boils in awkward places :) Ps, I would have seeked medical attention if it hasn't burst after my at home remedies attempt.

thank god for this post! Was getting really worried about it,a nd completely stressing out! But from what people have described theirs as mines seem pretty similar, so fingerscrossed! Going to try all the 'remedies' people have suggested and if that doesn't work then go to the doctor! hopefully it will just pop and that will be it though :)

omg. this makes me feel so much better. lol i was freakin the hell out. i got drunk over the weekend and ended up doing the nasty with guy like a retard AND IM LEZ. LOL well i guess bi technically! haha. i do get ingrown hairs a lot cause my hairs really thick down there and i do shave a lot.

Did it go away? Like is it gone now? Cause I've had this bump since I got my period last, so I thought it was like a bump rash thing from my blood, cause I wore a thong with a pad because I was getting off, so ya. But I noticed it today a lot more then before. I never tried to pop it yet, I'm scared too cause if it gets infected or something.. Today it started feeling itchy and I can feel it when I wipe.. I did some research and I'm really f*****g scared if I have HIV or something sever. It's only one bump too. So idk if it's a ingrown hair, or if I have a disease. I didn't tell anybody yet, I was thinking of telling my mom but I don't think she'll know what to do. Should I go see a doctor or something? Please help me! I never got one of these things before... I'm scared

I am dealing with this very exact thing right now. Its a bump of hairs trying grow, no worries. I use clippers for a closer, pain free shave. Just take really hot showers and baths too. They work. Get the water as hot as you can and sit, read a book or relax to music. :) Enjoy the soak.But also remember to wearloose boxers-shorts. The hot water will reduce the swelling, take the pain out of the bump, and relax the hair follicles. Hope this helped!

Throughout my young teens, I would continue to get three "giant pimples" on my panty line. They would pop, but never go away. When I was old enough for my own insurance, I sought medical attention. Doctor said that they where cysts and proceeded to remove the hair follicles. Never had the problem again.
