i am 17 and just just recently become sexually active with my boyfriend. we were each other's first time so we have had no previous partners. i was previously on birth control and stopped when i got a yeast infection and i have noticed that in my pubic area, not really my vagina or vulva (hopefully i am using the terms correctly) there are a few raised bumps on the edge of the hair. 2 of the bumps had sort of a pus like fluid come out of them but i experienced no pain, no other signs of herpes, no soreness, just the fact that the bumps were there. also when the pus stuff came out there was some blood. could i have herpes? i have not come in contact with anyone who has herpes. it almost looks like razor burn but i have not shaved in a while because i got waxed like 2 months ago and the wax burned me so i had to wait. could it be a reaction to the wax injury even though that was a while ago? i;ve looked at pictures of herpes and it doesnt relaly look like that its more like ingrown hair but how can i tell the difference? also i dont really have money to pay for an appointment at PP to get it checked out unless i really need to so i dont know what to do. please help me!

Waxing can be a cause of ingrown hairs as well as shaving! Also, you can get ingrown hairs or just cysts without either!

If you've both only ever been with one another then chances are you do not have herpes.

Herpes are actually very gross looking, and you'd know right away that it was something worse then a simple pimple or cyst. Blood coming out following puss is normal for any type of pimple or ingrown hair.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, however, if you're in the US, you can get free STD testing at your local Planned Parenthood clinic, or at least I thought you could. Maybe it's changed?

I am scared because about three months ago...I was VERY stupid and had sex for my very first time with a guy that I was seeing and after we did it he told me he had herpes...We didn't use any type of protection and now I am seeing a lighter colored slightly raised skin down on the flaps of my vagina. It is sometimes very itchy. But I have had it checked out and my Gyeno told me it was nothing to worry about and I tested negative for HPV and he said that with a one time exposure my chances of getting HPV were limited. But I am having a hard time believeing it b/c these white patches seem to be getting larger. They don't look anything like a wort, and they aren't red or anything so I am rather confused. Is it any type of yeast infection? I am really broke and don't have the money to get it checked out.
