I had bunion and hammertoe surgery on my left foot six days ago and I am in MISERABLE pain. I have 4 screws in my foot and a disolvable pin in my middle toe. How long does the pain last. I am able to put a little weight on the outside of my foot and it actually feels good but I would like to know how long the recovery time is and when the pain will subside significantly. I am in a cast but only for another week. I'll go to a walking boot once the cast is off for two more weeks. I did not expect to have this kind of pain from this surgery but I was also NOT told that I would have to have screws in my foot. Please give me your experience with the healing process.
