Burning in ear and thick feeling in neck

I too have had all the symptoms. they came on overnight in March 2011. I have had all the tests and all clear. Now I read this page I no longer feel I am going mad. the symptoms seem to be lessening, but just when I think its gone, I get the burning feeling i my ear again, I am now convinced I picked up a virus and it has attacked my head, ear sinuses and probably my brain too. In the early stages I was desperate, panic attacks, temporary distortion of sight, problems with hearing, with an overall feeling I was going to die quite suddenly. Before last March I was perfectly OK, My GP's have put it down to stress, but I know stress, I have lived with it all my life and have never felt so debilitated as I have done in this last year. Nobody understands because it is so difficult to describe, the who feeling messes so much with your mind. My reasons on thinking it is a virus is that is just has to work its was out of your body, mine is weakening and compared to last year I recon I have the last 25% of the feeling to get out of my system

I have experienced the same thing as you have!
Had a cold and suddenly ear virus that caused tinnitus but the tinnitus is very painful and burning.
All tests come back normal but my head is funky!
Dr just looks at you as crazy.........not sure what is going on but you are not alone!
Sounds like you could have TMJ too , look into that!

I have a burning in my right ear it really scares me I am being treated for gerd and they are doing a endoscopy soon they said I might have a heidnal hurnea.I also had my gallbladder out 3 months ago I just wish I knew.

I would suggest you to try YOGA. Once u start doing it, u will feel the difference as well as ur level of confidence growing, every one can do it, but none doing it properly, so have a proper guidance from a well professioned yoga master and be stress free. Get well soon.

I have the same symptoms. Two things diagnosed with me...vestibular migraines and Hashimotos thyroiditis . Cut out salt and caffeine. No cheese, chocolate, red wine, all forms of legumes, tofu, and smoked/cured meats/fish, pickled anything. Watch your sugar intake too. I know its tough, but there are plenty of websites that will help you find the right diet. Your doctor will prescribe the right painkiller for you. And do not let him/her put you on Prednisone.

Its GERD and stress... I have severe acid reflux and a lot of anxiety and i get the same symptoms. Try doing calming things like meditation or walking in a calming place

hi i have been feeling like this for almost 2 years head pressure ears burning only 22 years old just want to die due to this i dont know if its anxiety but i dont want to live like this forever i want to have a good job finish school and be able to be married but if i stay like this then thier is no way for me i try commitiing suicide but i failed i need help

I had a very similar symptoms i have been already diagnosed with GERD and i was partying very hard on Saturday, and i have learn that it will take me a week to heal from that. So: try to exercise doing whatever that you enjoy and avoid the food that the doctors already told you to avoid in two weeks you will be surprised. Good Luck , DM

I ALWAYS use a phone in my left hand (99% mobile, 1% land), so I can write with my right hand. 25 years later, after I started using mobiles, my left ear gets hot if I use a phone, mobile or landline, extending down through the jaw into the neck, and it hurts.

Is this common? Does anyone else experience this? What can it be? My Doc's are fobbing me off.

I've now started using my right ear, or handsfree. Not sure what to do, the left ear has become really sore to use, on the telephone and then for hours thereafter.

Would appreciate any info from out there.

My newest teory is that is flease bites, infection with some bacteria. What do you think about that?

Do any of you have amalgam fillings? All amalgam fillings contain mercury. Try typing In a google search your condition along with mercury poisoning. Good luck.
