hey guys, add one more to the list I've had this for several years, I've now messed my self up, I have burn marks between my legs and lower buttchick, I've gone to doctors and they keep giving different creams. I did my own study I notice that I have muscular legs and tend to rub all day long, so when you seat the irritation begins the scrathing starts Damm it feels better than sex at times, then I break skin then I have to use the cream. Usally what works for me is A+D ointment apply cream and if you have butthuggers get rid of them the bad tends to rub into the legs also this is not a cure just help the daily burn and itch. I notice no one doctor has gotten on this site just the boys helping out the boys good luck fellas :$ 8-|

Guys i also have the same thing... but as some one before said we should all share as much as possible if we want to find a common factor... i will describe my problem as thoroughly as possible...

as for the groin area... i have the same burning sensation... and also itches around the family jewels... sometimes is like something is pulling the pubic hair off that area...

Before this...

Someone said something about having dry skin and tainted finger nails... well it happened to me too, also i had some rediness and itching around the chest... all that has disappear kinda... i didnt really care about that and may not be related... but i'd like to recall everything or anything that went strange during the last five years.

coming back to the burning sensation, i have had this for 3 months and at first i thought i was incubating something since i went camping 6 months ago to a concert where it got hot then it rained and with the walking and drying up i got some sort of rubbing blister which it disappeared... but all the sudden that burning sensation... a similar as the one that i got during the concert...

So i went to the doctor who at first gave me clotrimazole and next day i went to the dermatologist and that LADY took a good look at my stuff and said ... well i see nothing wrong with it.. but i'll give you Beta-Micoter... and told me to stop using clotrimazole... i went on using the ointment for almost 2 weeks until i had no more and the problem remained ... i'm working in another country so cannot go see my doc.. so i went back to the clotrimazole and i thought i was doing better... turns out... it only gets better for a while...

I feel like lately i sweat a lot down there... i mean i think it is only the sensation... cant really tell... also i feel like my hair is falling more than before... i mean it is natural to lose some... it renews itself but i never saw something like this before ... there is no history of bald people withing the family or at least not before the 60's and i'm 28 ... i get dandruff even if a wash daily... my face is always dry... and yet use creams...

Diet

I eat aaaaaa lot of salads, practically i dont eat beef anymore... i eat a lot of ham and chicken though ... i drink juice and milk but dont eat too many noodles, potatos or rice... well salads are easier to make... not that i dont like the rest...

well i'll go the urologist next week and again the dermatologist after that and ill keep you informed ... nonetheless tell me more... may be i'm missing out something that you may have and i do too... and vice versa... if ur going to see a doctor tell him all... any detail may be important... and get his results by written so when u change or if u change doctors... u have some medical history with you...

Cheers

Hello everyone. It's interesting to read all of these posts describing these symptoms. I too am having the same issue. I feel a sharp burning / pinching sensation in my right groin that radiates around my right thigh to my lower back. I feel it most while seated.

I've had it evaluated countless times by Urologists and Neurologists. But, no one has been able to diagnose the issue. I had surgery for varicoceles 3 years ago. That did nothing to help the problem.

I don't know if the issue is related to diet or physical health. I'm in good physical condition, 5'9" 185. I do work out from time to time. Admittedly, I could have a better diet.

I am not sure what to do at this point. But, I am glad that none of us have chosen to suffer in silence. Hopefully one of us will find a doctor who is dedicated to identifying and ultimately resolving this issue.

Please continue to share your findings, or any details related to any evaluations you have regarding this issue. Any information would be a huge help.

Thanks to all.

Well, from all the responses,I am glad I didnt waste a trip to the doctor.I too have the same symptoms.....Burning on the inside and top of my thigh and upper groin area... This came after a recent attack of what I call "I hurt my back again". which I think is related to herpes, which I have had for years. The only outbreaks I have are on the upper crack of my buttocks , and they come and go as a rash, but really never go away. Also For years I have gotten this back ache like pain in my right side/lower back area usually when I get stressed. So the last time this occurred, it was followed by the burning on my thigh and groin, which has not gone away. Definitely more pronounced when activity level is up.

Hi everyone,
just read your questions & responses about your symptoms etc.
Stinging & burnig in the groin area can mean several things.
Torn groin muscles, overstretching etc.
but if you have exhausted all these options and various treatments for these conditions, and are still suffering, with no ideas left about what to do, Don't give up, keep on at your doctors as I did, and if you get no satisfaction from orthopaedic treatments etc, then ask to see a neurologist or neurosurgeon.
I was finally diagnosed with a very rare condition called arachnoiditis.
It took years of frustration & searching for answers before they finally found the answer to the problem. The answer came when I was given an mri scan, which showed no problem at first, but when they injected a dye it showed damage to the 'arachnoid layer' of the nerves which travelled from my lumbar spine and down both sides of my legs and groins. If you google search arachnoiditis there are lots of websites that tell you all about this condition. The only way to treat this condition is with pain management as there is no known cure. Please note that this is only my experience of the symptoms of burning & stinging sensations in the groin, buttocks and leg areas, & where standing upright or sitting down or any activity aggravates the symptoms, so please don't assume that this is what you have.
This reply is only a guide as there are obviously many conditions that create these symptoms, but like yourselves I couldn't find any answers for my frustration to these symptoms, so if you are on a quest for answers, then this could possibly be one to look at and hopefully discount. Good luck to you all, and I hope you all get well, & find comfort for your pain.
many thanks
Steve

rodfersua, I have the exact same symptoms as you so if you have found out anything that helps please post it.

I have had a crotch burn for about 2 years now. It has destroyed my life sexually, and mentally. During this time I have seen countless dermatologists, a urologist, and an internist. I have tried every anti-fungal cream as well as antibiotic. I just recently went to Mayo Clinic dermatologists because a small rash is present in my crotch folds. I am in shape, 22, and 155-160 pounds. They told me it wasnt dermatological and was probably my nerves. They presecribed an anti-depressent and a basic cream base to soothe the burning. The anti-depressent is to calm my nerves in case it is a nerve problem (which is what they think it is now). I am calling my internist (family dr.) to inform him tomorrow. So far, it's a no go. Only been three days though. All symptoms remain. Also I am going to be in contact with the mayo clinic drs. later in the week. I will update with progress or if I get a solution. Please keep posting and keep up the hope.

Oh and during these two years I have started balding. At 22 I don't thnk I'm supposed to bald all my family has all their hair. I can deal with the baldness but the burning drives me nuts.

It must have something to do with sex. I had unprotected sex last night and as soon as I drove away from the lady, I felt mild burning sensation - first on my laps, then my groin. It increased today and is making me very emotionally uncomfortable. It is exactly the same thing being described here. Now, if it's this common, why haven't the doctors and/or the CDC any idea what it is and provide some information. BUT, no doubt it has something to do with sexing.

use turmeric powder...get a handful, add water and make it into a paste..then apply on affected area and leave it for 10 minutes. then rinse with water. turmeric is best used for killing germs and it does wonders u'll never know.
for best results, try taking a shower with turmeric at least once a month to really clean your body..it helps..dont use too much on ur face or u'll end up with a very yellow face..the skin normally turns yellow after applying the turmeric but it should go away after 1 day or so.

Having the same problem. Not sexually active and very sanitary. My best guess is that it's caused by heat and friction in that area.

Hello, I have also been experiencing the same problem for over two years now. I have a burning sensation in my groin(right side only). There is no rash or redness just burning. I have been to the doctor and have been checked for everything and everything is normal.  I don't know what to do.

I don't want to alarm anyone but this is cause by stress you are the carrier of a virus called herpes, it lives inside your body and when you get stress out it comes out.

There is really no cure for it you need to relax, take yoga classes and drink plenty of water.  Don't have sex until you feel better, sometimes it can take up a month to feel better. Hope this helps.

I have the same problem, I am now thinking maybe it is my laundry detergent because the burning only starts to happen after I put on a freshly washed pair of underwear and jeans. I do have allergies and as we get older they can get worse, I have heard of many people allergic to Tide, although I dont use Tide I am still going to switch to the less chemical based Arm & hammer laundry detergent and see what happens because this c**p is driving me crazy, it gets much worse when I am sitting down and my pants are in the crimped positions tight against my crease around my legs and the pelvis.
