I've had this problem too, at two different times in my life (I'm in my mid 30's now). Mine was just burning in the thigh, near the groin and hip area, on the top side only and didn't affect my penis. It only ever affected one leg at a time, but I think the first time it was might right leg, the second time it was my left. It also only affected me while sitting and it didn't happen every time I was sitting either, but when it did happen it was bad. It would often affect me while driving and the burning would get so bad I almost couldn't think straight.
Whats odd is that it completely went away twice already. The last time around it might have went on (off and on) for maybe a year or two, but I think I've been clear of it now for maybe two or three years.
I really don't think it's skin related; it seems more like some kind of nerve pain. I've had some foot and toenail fungus but nothing in the groin area. I'm at zero risk for STD's and have never had one. I originally read that it came from excessive masturbation. However, in the last month or so I've masturbated a lot (sometimes 3 times in 24 hours) and I'm still not having any problem with the burning.
I do sit a lot at my job (computer programming) but in the last two or three years I have been more active and spent less time sitting at the computer for long hours. The increased activity might have something to do with it, but I'm not convinced. I'm not overweight (almost underweight actually) but I've always been fairly physically fit on my lower body. I love hiking and have no problem doing a 5 mile hike over rough terrain in about 1.5 hours. Still, I cannot say that physical activity holds the key here as the difference between now and when I had the pain isn't really that great.
It's been maybe 20 years since I've been on antibiotics. However, over the last three years I've taken a ton of supplements including things like fish oil, magnesium, l-glutamine, turmeric, probiotics, vitamin c, and a large variety of other stuff. I was taking stuff to try to get rid of some digestive problems I've had (nausea, gas, bloating) and I'm thankful to say my symptoms have resolved though I do have some foods I stay away from because I think I may be allergic/intolerant of them (hot peppers and cow's milk). I also struggle with muscle tension, presumabely from having my arms and shoulders in tension too much of the time every day, but once again, I don't see this relating to the burning. My muscle tension reached an alltime high recently and yet the burning in the groin did not return.
It's possible some of the supplements I took made the problem go away, but I can't tell you what to take. I tried too many different things over the last 3 years to be able to say which ones were likely successful.
All I can say at this point is that it probably won't last forever. Something in your body chemistry will probably change and some day maybe you'll run across this post (like I did) and remember back to when you had this problem.

I'm suffering from the same thing. Some days it's really bad others not. Seems worse the more I think about it.

The main reason I am righting this post is because I feel sex has actually helped. The trick is light pelvic thrusts. It's a work out and if done correctly can build and repair muscle tissue. Just make sure not to over do it. Do pelvic/ab exercises to increase strength in your pelvic/ab region and watch how your sitting.
If you can, do light weight squats to build correct form and muscle in your buttocks/thigh area, again make sure not to overdue as it may become counter productive.
I am having slow recovery since my knees were also injured in the accident which prevents me from doing some healthy exercises and stretches. Be fit but don't over do it. Light pelvic thrusts whenever you feel the burning sensation will give you temporary relief if it is a nerve/muscle problem. At least it works for me regarding the groin/inner thigh pain. I am seeing a chiropractor for my back and knee which is what I'm really worried about. Good luck to everyone.
