I've had this and have been able to work through it through meditation and acceptance of the flow of emotional energy through the body. While these things are also known in the Western Christian spiritual tradition, they are more developed in Eastern traditions of yoga or Chinese treatment of ying/yang energies. My advice to to sit calmly and meditatively and accept the pain and energy, breathe deeply, and let the energy flow from your head to the souls of your feet. You might want some instruction in zen meditation or yoga.

Hi I know you wrote this some time ago but hope you see this reply. My husband just started suffering horrible burning sensation on right thigh and groin area to the point where he was finding walking extremely painful. Doc was baffled and talked about shingles, which it wasn't, and I researched this which all seemed to point to nerve damage. He saw a specialist yesterday who was brilliant. Said it is definitely nerve but said everything in the spine and lower limb area will affect everything else. He said rather than start injecting with steroids and cortisone he wanted to get his body in balance. He's having MRI scans to see where he's out of kilter and will then treat. It seems if it burns it's nerve related. The chap my husband saw was a highly qualified sports injury specialist who treats olympians. He also observed a slight curve in my husband's lower spine which no-one has ever spotted. Good luck to you and I hope you receive this.

Burning sensation in any part of the body without any physical signs are usually nerve related issue. Rather than visit a dermatologist visit a neurologist or an orthopaedic hospital. This sensation can be as a result of a traumatic event or anxiety disorder. Your neurologist might prescribe Pregabalin as a first line treatment before an MRI scan to ascertain whether its nerve injury or nerve entrapment and the extent of damage. Electrotherapy, a form of physiotherapy, has shown to heal the pain

I was jogging today and got to the 2-mile mark when suddenly it felt like someone was holding a lighter to my groin and upper thighs. It is 75 degrees and VERY humid, so I was sweating a lot. only ate 500 calories before I exercised. I not sure if that's it. I also have a history of anxiety so maybe that had something to do with it. I sat in the shade and at half a power bar (which I always carry around when I exercise in the Sun.) Has anyone else experienced this while exercising?

What a ridiculous post that is based on absolutely no solid evidence of individual cases. Some people are just trying to get health advice. You may well have scared the sh*t out of someone and given the life long implications, who knows how they may react. Wake up to yourself!!! I have a headache... oh no i must have a brain tumor!!!!!!
