I am facing this problem for 5 years. several course of antibiotics but to no avail. One thing common thing we have to know is that prostate is its cause.I am maintaining it just just balancing food to keep urine pH between 6-7. I am pretty sure it works for all.

I have suffered with burning pain / sensation on upper rear legs / bum for years! Approx 20 years now. Doctors not got a clue what it is. It does flare up. I have stretch marks in that area since i was 18. I am sure it is to do with those.

I have tried various creams and health tablets.......Still the same.

It can be very depressing indeed.

Embarrassed to see doc again. I know they have seen it all but i hate showing them my 'private' areas!

I have been going to the chiropractor for the last month for the same symptoms and she believes it is nerves coming from something in my lower back and so in a couple weeks I will have an EMG which will determine if its from my back or neurological. My burning is in the thighs and inner thighs and down the tops of my legs to my ankles.

I too am now experiencing a burning pain in my pubic area. I'm worried because if I feel around lightly with my fingertips, it seems like it's a vein that runs from the crease of my right leg into the, pubic area. This has been going on for 3 days now and the only thing that I can think of that I did different was take a low dose aspirin. When I press on the vein it seems to relieve the burning pain sensation. What do you think it could be?

"Invisible rash"...good description. You explain my symptoms to a T... I thought it was something to do with me having shingles, which I had 4 years before this started happening regularly. But then I remembered at times when I would have sex and have friction or contact (from the age of 17 or whatever), I would have that burning sensation on the right side... but it would not last that long. So that was going on intermittently for 15 years before I had shingles. I did not have back problems back then, but now I do have some neck problems and after driving long distances feel like I have a sciatic nerve issue in my right leg. My Dr. said it could be some nerve issue but I have been too busy to follow up. Lucky for me the pain is not that bad- just feels weird. I walk a lot at my job and when I was off in the summer I never had the problem; now that I am back walking a lot it is back. I can deal with it- as long as it doesn't kill me or is related to cancer or something, I will just live with it....

I'm sure this is nerve damage from chicken pox or shingles .it can happen years later for no reason from what I've been reading .herpies hsv can give the same feeling but sores will appear and the pain usually goes down the left leg and a out break will happen and the buring goes away with in a month from what I've read .its very rare on the right side of the body if it's HSV .but seeing chicken pox and shingles HSV are from the same family but are different they have the same buring sensation .I've been using a scabies cream what has worked the best on the buring but it's not a cure so far but the burning has stopped by 90 percent .some times I have no redness and I'm in pain .it fells like my legs groin bum are on fire .but the cream has stopped most of that no idea why it's working for now hope this helps some other people as it's helping me to hear your story's thanks

I am a woman and have this pain, too, so maybe it's not the prostate!

To me all of everyone's symptoms sound like a common yeast infection. Sometimes diabetics and pre-diabetics get these symptoms. It's also accompanied by a foul greasy odor that can sometimes be quite pungent. The best approach is to clean the area with warm water and soap. Clean around the creases of your pubic area where the fungus is hiding. It may hurt and your wash cloth may reveal dark skin cells, Some feel the fungus is also introducing some sort of flesh-eating bacteria; Maybe a secondary staph infection.

Once thoroughly cleaned, apply some Gold Bond medicated powder into the creases. This will stimulate skin repair down there. It may sting a bit but the foul smell is overcome by the medical odor of the Gold Bond. In a few hours it feels much better down there. Practice good hygiene after that. Clean yourself thoroughly after every toilet use, Yes guys you have to clean and powder that too. Try to limit your complex carb loading (i.e. glucose sugar). Stick to fruits (i.e. fructose) and veggies for you sweet tooth.

The Yeast will always have the upper-hand and you will loose without copious hygiene. Clean yourself up like the way you'd clean your toddler's bum not just simple showering. Yeast can be very aggressive especially in hot humid climates. Anti-fungal sprays work but is dangerous if over used. Also try and get 30 minutes of power-walking every day. Swear off of pies, cakes. candy, sugar. etc. Stick to Splenda or Stevia for your sweet fix.

If you start to notice peripheral neuropathy (tingling in feet and hands - and yes even down there too), you should seek medical advice, You may need special prescriptions like Lyrica and Anti-Type-2-Diabetic drugs to control this potential nerve damage. There's been a lot of recent pharmacological innovations since your last Doctor visit.

It might be a pubalgia. Ask your doctor to do a MRI to rule it out.
