Already knew that warm/hot temperature environments were making it worse, but today i just noticed while drinking 2 bowls of warm (yogurt) soup made it instantly worse by making my body warm. Drinking cold water afterwards make it almost disappear again.

Here is my story and my remedy:
August 12, has a protected sex. 10 days later went and swam in the ocean where there was a lot of jelly fish and felt a tinling sensation in my chest. After, I continued running for one hour and a half. When was done, saw two red small spots (no blisters) and my penis burning in other area, nothing itchy. I also had a fevel and flu like symptoms and wanted to sleep all the time.
I suspected Herpes infection and went to a doctor, who ruled out Herpes and tested me with IGG blood specific test, which showed no to genital herpes, and yes to regular herpes, which I knew I had since I was a kid and it was not a problem.

However, he gave me a vaginal creme againt yeast infection. I came home and applied it in the afternoon, at night these spots were gone. Headaches and fevel like symptoms and burning in penis and inner thigh area are still here , especially when wearing tight underwear before I do running and when sitting in a certain way.

I believe what we all have is Herpes Simplex Virus type 1, which effected our nervous system and does attribute itself in that way. Or a form of it. Or may be it is an unknown STD that is dormant in our nerves.

I have been taking red algae and it does not do much at all. When I use antifungal creams, it helps a bit.
I know that my immune system was compromised and I am looking for ways to clear it. I cannot do Gerson therapy as it is very intense, but I want to try other ways if possible. I heard zeolite enhanced with DHQ kills all viruses if taken in two month period. It is alternative, I know. Has anyone tried that?

Also, did anyone try Valtrex? I read that it could treat shingles and it puts herpes to sleep.

So, what do you think, guys? Is it Herpes related? Has anyone get tested for any herpes (type 1, oral or type 2, genital)???????????????????

We need to try everything and see what works the best.

Great differential diagnosis. I had a patient this week in my office with those symptoms. I adjusted his lumbar spine, found leg length discrepancies (leg shorter on same side of pain-burning sensation), so I adjusted his Sacroiliac joint. Also worked trigger points in Psoas and oblique abdominals muscles and patient found relief for 4 days. Will continue treatment and will keep you posted. By the way, I am a chiropractor.

That muscle is called Quadratus Lumborum as well could be Gluteus Maximus muscle. I will recommend see a chiropractor in your area to adjust your pelvis and lumbar spine, as well work your muscles (trigger point therapy) not only to the above mentioned muscles but to Psoas and Abdominals oblique.

Any updates on this phenomenon?

I have it too and it's been an irritation for days, perhaps its caused by sitting down for too long or the type of chair i have, although i went for a run tonight to see if it would help and it's only worse. It's like a slight pain that radiates, right where my inner thigh and groin meet. I had a UTI around 1 & 1/2 months ago but i went through anti biotics and it cleared up, any chance it could be related?

I too am having similar symptoms.  Feels like icy hot was rubbed on my scrotum & inner thighs.  I noticed the symptoms shortly after receiving unprotected oral sex so it must be some type of STD or something to do with anxiety/stress because of the incident.  I tested negative for the few STDs they tested for but my sexual encounter was only a few weeks ago so I have to wait a bit for round 2 of testing.  The doctor did say that these symptoms are not common with any known STD, but I do know I've always had some type of Herpes my entire life as I get alot of canker sores even since I was a kid.  But usually my canker sores are related to diet and/or stress, so I'm thinking my new burning sensation in my groin/thigh region is related to that as well...  Does anybody else here get canker sores often?

I have experienced similar problems. Persistent burning in inner-thigh, and in penis, closer to the tip. For years. Variables: 1. I have had fungal problems in the past, including "athlete's foot," fungal growth on toe nails, and, in the last few years, "jock itch" in the folds of my inner thigh, which looked like a red rash, itched, etc. I used various over the counter sprays and powders for the foot fungus and it cleared up eventually. I saw a doctor about the rash on my inner thigh and he thought it was a yeast infection and told me to use Anti-fungal creams. After using the creams, the redness went away...for awhile. It comes back. Anyways, the burning sensations more or less coincide with the onset of the fungal infestations in my groin area. 2. Parasites. Closely after the fungal infestation in my crotch first appeared, I discovered one of my testicles was twice the size of the other testicle. Went to the doctor, had an ultrasound, discovered cancer, had it removed, underwent four weeks of radiation, and then, just as I was recovering from radiation, I started vomiting after every meal FOR A MONTH. After many tests, including blood tests and an endoscopy, my doctor found my "eosiniphil" cells were extremely high, so we did food allergy tests, and found nothing remarkable. A stool test, however, revealed a parasite called blastocyst. I took an anti-biotic called Flagyl and the vomitting went away. Because the vomitting stopped, I never got rechecked to see if the parasites were dead. 3. Kidney Stones. I have stones every three years. I thought maybe the stones had ripped up my penis resulting in the persistent burning. But that wouldn't explain why I feel burning in my inner thighs too. What could this be? A fungal, parasite problem?

Wow it's like we're all related. My burning is on both sides of groin, but sometimes only one. And it changes from right to left as well. It sometimes is on my shoulders, too. Very frustrating. I sit quite a bit at work, but I also am walking around. Seems to settle down at different times of the day. I'm looking for suggestions as well.

Hi,
I have experienced similar problems.

It all started from a Steroid cream i used for 2 weeks on a small part of my penis, as my Doc told me to do. After that all start to going bed.

There any one else that use Steroid cream before this burning sensation appears???

Around one month after I stop with the cream, I got Jock itch and I used anti-fungal cream.

The jock itch didn't disappear totally but it's looks much better.

The problem is that the itching in the tip of the penis and the burning sensation do not improve..

I think it's because the jock itch didn't fully cleared.

Hope to hear from you.
