I went to a dermatologist and they said the SAME thing. They even brought another dermatologist in and they both seemed really puzzled because they had only ever seen this happen in older adults. Yay. They said the same thing they told you about lasers. I am 5'2", 128lbs. My dad had them, too, so I presume it is hereditary. He was adopted so that's as far back as I can go. I am 39 and I first noticed it around age 32 or so. I don't beat up on them but when I do have a hard run or a shoe that is abrasive in one spot they will get worse and really red in one spot then go back to their usual ugly. lol I don't think weight has anything to do with it. I do sit on my butt at work most days but I also take my dog for walks, chase my kids around, etc. so I wouldn't call myself sedentary. I don't have pain or swelling that I can tell though. My feet have always been pretty bony looking and slim and my calves always pretty toned. It's so bizarre. I used to dance which beat up my feet, but this started well after and since my dad's feet looked exactly the same, I figured it was just some random hereditary thing. I always thought it was related to circulation from his diabetes but I don't have diabetes but I have this. Doesn't bother me other than the fact that it's ugly and nobody can tell me what it is! :)

It might be the detergent. Try double rinsing the clothes. Also, nylon does not let feet breath. Switch to a cotton sock.

I am 23 and began noticing tiny red dots, such as you described, on my ankles about a year ago. I'm not and never have been pregnant, and although I eat dessert like it's going out of style, I'm actually borderline underweight for my height of 5'2. I can't say that my ankles swell, but I do have very poor circulation in my hands and feet. They are almost always like ice. I'm wondering if this has anything to do with it. Do you also have poor blood circulation? One previous commentor mentioned that there might be a connection between the ruptured vessels and poor circulation.

It is obeseity...It's to do with the weight pressure on the fgeet...so my gp said...I lost 4 stone and it cleared up, along with the pain in the legs feet and ankles...If you drink alcohol...stop, and the weight will fly off.

Hi .. I have the same problem .. swelling of feet and ankles .. the brown pin spots are iron deposit which your body can't dissolve .. they appear after your blood vessels have burst due to swelling .. they will itch more in the bath as the heat is forcing the blood vessels to swell .. it happens when you have weak blood vessels ..

Google calorie counter. There are some things you can scan in with your phone if you have a QR & Barcode scanner app (freebie app) and others you have to just guess. If you have calorie counter on your computer (or phone) you can put in your age, your height, weight, and your goal weight and it'll tell you what your intake should be. Best of luck. It's not easy!
