My knees get sore after one glass of white wine, sometimes the pain extends up to my hips. I don't drink often, but it hurts a lot...My wine drinking is so rare I forget that it hurts!
But it's nice to have a crisp wine once in awhile :/

If I have a couple of beers or glasses of wine, I pay for it. I have bad osteoarthritis in both knees. I have drawn the conclusion that severe pain always happens after drinking. Doctors are clueless, so don't waste your time and money on their service. In closing let me say this; drinking dry's out your tendons, depletes your fluids and causes pain. Cause and have proven this to me over and over. Pay attention and take care of your self.

To the person who wrote "Chalk me up as another 'me too'", as I read your experience, I became aware that there is another person that has the exact same symptoms as I do. Have you found any information on your condition? I see that you posted this over a year ago, I hope you see this post. Please get back to me if you read this. Thank you. T

"my knuckles (first one only) were almost unusable with pain, no swelling, no redness, just extreme sensitivity to side motion and squeezing. "

THis is what I have in my right hand. It seems to only flair up when drinking alcohol of some sorts. My Fingers become extremely sensitive. Almost feel like a burning sensation in my finger tips, sides of fingers and joints.

I am thinking this is the start of something bad. I am thinking it may be a toxin overload in my body. I recently did a kidney cleanse and I hadn't drank for a month or so, so my hand was feeling ok. 2 days into the 7 day cleanse my hand was hurting worse than ever!! I feel as though the cleanse I was doing was pulling the toxins out of my cells and causing the pain in my hand to flair up...

Anyone else have these pains and know what it is...

Hi everybody!
Yes, alcohol can affect your joint and tendons. According to the Traditional Chinese Medicine, alcohol "gets your tendons warm than dry it out". You can have just sorenessor develop tendinitis, tendinosys and bursitis.
Yes, we need to drink less and not very often! Take care
