Yes, cortisone shots can give you headaches! I'm always so gladto get my knees injected for the relief it gives me, but I forget about the resulting headache. I took mega-acetominophen, then a cold pack, now a hot pack and just gave up and got up! My headaches don't last too long, but they are mighty uncomfortable in the meantime. I try to keep in mind that the headache doesn't last long, but the knee relief does.
I just received a cortisone injection today in my right knee and have the beginning of a headache and foggy feeling.
I RECEIVED A SHOT IN MY KNEE TODAY AT 11 AM AND HAD A HEADACH TOO! EVEN WOKE UP AT 3 AM AND THOUGHT I HAD BETTER GOOGLE IT<<<<< WEIRD

I had a cortisone injection and had a bad headache hours later. I had to go to he hospital to get some relief.
I've had many cortisone shots with no reactions. Yesterday, I had one shot for a trigger finger, and within four hours had flushing and a frontal headache that has not gone away. Now, I'm getting a tinge of nasuea, too. I know that cortisone nose drops give me nausea. These must be related. On the plus side, my overall arthritis feels much better than usual.. Win some, lose some.
I had trigger point injections to muscles around neck for arthritis yesterday and last night I had a rapid pulse and bad headache. Feel better this am but sr

I had an injection in my knee yesterday afternoon as well and have had a terrible headache now for quite a few hrs unusual for me obviously this happens to quite a few people
6 hours after receiving a knee injection of cortisone, I developed a severe headache, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, and elevated heart rate. I went to the emergency room where they treated me with IV doses of anti-nausea medication, benadryl, and ibuprofen. After sleeping for about five hours when I got home, I feel much better. I reacted to prednizone in a similar way last June. I will never take corticosteroids voluntarily again. Apparently, these kinds of reactions are not common, but they obviously occur in some people.
I had my first cortisone shot in both knees 24 hours ago . My blood sugar has shot up to 200 it's usually 120 at the highest . BP 170/100 with a raging headache .However I have had some relie from the knee pains and a nurse told me that these. Side effects should abate within 72 hours . Since its a holiday weekend it's difficult to talk to a physical .
