Hello! I am Ann and I am fifteen. I have myopia (-6) and I wear glasses. I noticed my myopia was only getting worse in the previous period. I really don't like my glasses and I dream of the day when I will be able to see everything clear without them. My mother is also myopic and unfortunately she is still wearing glasses. Does that mean that myopia never gets better? Can this high myopia get better?

Hello! Don't be desperate. You have been passing through the period of growing and your eyes change as well as your body. It is common that myopia increases during the time of intensive grow and it usually stabilizes around the age of 18 to 20. Around 30% of myopic persons have myopia -6 or more. You can improve your vision with surgery but you have to wait till you are 18 or more when your myopia will be stabilized.
