Hi, I had a severe infection of upper respiratory pathways. Since it did not pass on its own, and I had complications in a form of ear pain, I went to a doctor, who recommended pseudoephedrine. I have been taking it for a few days, and it helped, but some side effects occurred. Can use of pseudoephedrrine cause dry sinuses and dry mouth?
You have to know that pseudoephedrine is a constrictor of blood vessels. It has a big affinity to a nasal area, so it can remove nasal obstruction that could be caused by viral infection of that region. The symptoms you have mentioned, are not in the common group of the side effects of the pseudoephedrine, but it still could be possible that have emerged because of that drug.
