My daughter has a very painful arm and hand where two lumps have come up, one on her wrist and forearm, she is 34 years old, slight build, around 5' 3".
She is at the moment waiting for an MRI scan to confirm or not if she has Chondrosarcoma or a hopeful answer.
The reason for the question is, can vitamins cause this problem as we have read that they could cause some bone re-modeling. She is taking a multi vitamin and mineral tablets which she has taken for a number of years as her diet was poor at that time.
Her eating habits have changed recently for the better but still taking her multi vitamin pills, as foods and drinks have added vitamins could that make a person take to much without knowing.
She has a couple of years ago had her gaul bladder removed due to stones, which again poor diet and perhaps vitamins may of caused excess calcium within the body is that so? She also had difficulty in sleeping at night.
We are hopeful that there is an easy answer and perhaps treatment for my daughters problem.

The cause of chondrosarcoma is unknown. It is, however, almost certainly not caused by vitamins. Nor did the calcium in multi-vitamins cause her gall stones. There is simply not enough calcium in them to caused such a problem.
