17 Oct would have had to have been a fertile day for pregnancy to follow, so ovulation (or breakthrough ovulation) would have to have happened then (or the next 5 days). That would mean the embryo would not be likely to arrive in her uterus until at least today. So implantation could not occur until then (ectopic apart). It is more likely that her bleeding is starting early because she has stopped the pill. A normal period would not be expected to take place until 4-6 weeks after stopping the pill. Why did she stop?

Why did she stop taking the pill?

You didn't say which pills they were but, usually, they are a low-dose contraceptive pill. They are hormonal pills to regulate the periods, but not powerful enough to be relied on for contraception.
You said she stopped taking the pills, but didn't give the reason she stopped, nor exactly how long she had been taking them.

Taking the pill for 1 month would probably not be enough to regulate her period (although I wouldn't automatically recommend them).
