My sister-in-law too was diagonsed with an enlarged heart. She is 36 years old and is perfectly healthy. She works as a chemist in a testing lab. Could being exposed to certain chemicals or drugs cause an enlarged heart and thinning of her blood? We are just stumped by this. The doctors are talking about doing a heart transplant. :'( :'(

My 1st husband died at 37, the autopsy showed an enlarged heart. He was normally very healthy and it happened very suddenly. His death was investigated as murder, but later that was dismissed. Does anyone know if drugs or alcohol could play a part in an enlarged heart? It has plagued us all, as he had no family history of heart disease.

On September 22, 2008 My Brother, 28 Yrs Old, Died Suddenly. We Were Clueless On What It Was From. Then The Autopsy Showed He Had An Enlarged Heart, Which Caused Him To Have A Massive Heart Attack. My Brother's Friend's Wife Found Him In Their Bathroom Early That Morning Lying On The Floor. His Friend Had Made Him Stay The Night Because My Brother Was Not Feeling Well. His Friend Didnt Want Him Driving All The Way Home And Being There All By Himself. I Thank God That He Was With His Best Friend Tho. Because Who Knows How Long He Would Of Been In His House Before Anyone Would Of Gone To Check Up In Him. It Was A Complete Shock. No One, Including Him, Did Not Know He Had An Enlarged Heart. And Come To Find Out, It Runs In Our Family. So It Definitely Is Genetic. But Other Causes Can Make The Heart Become Enlarged. Im Currently In School And I Have To Do A Research Paper, I Chose Enlarged Hearts. Because It Is Something I Would Like To Learn More About. And Everything That I Find Is Very Interesting And In Some Kind Of Ways Shocking. I Descovered That It Is Common. Its Horrible That It Can Go Undiagnosed For So Long With No Symptoms. I Just Wish We Knew My Brother Had It, Cause Then Maybe He Would Still Be Here With Us Today ): In Loving Memory Of Kevin, R.I.P.

Hi,

I am new here.  I was looking up info for my Mom-in-law on enlarged heart and stumbled onto this site and thread.  But, I, too, have many health issues, some of which affect my heart.  I *know* my health issues to be caused by the numerous aberrant, unnatural frequencies caused by wireless and digital devices and cell and microwave towers.  This is called "electro-magnetic hypersensitivity".  (I don't like being called hyper anything, so I call it EMS--electro-magnetic sensitivity as they do in Europe).

The reason I am writing this here is, have any of you considered whether the sudden deaths of your loved ones could have been caused by electro-magnetic frequencies?  These frequencies are EVERYWHERE now.  And it is just naive to think that they do not interfere with the body's electrics.  I have even had strokes from them.  I belong to EMS forums; this is not uncommon.  I get excruciating migraine headaches.  I have racing heart and missed beats, pounding.  My bp plummets--sometimes as low as 50s/ 30s.  (Some with EMS get high bp spikes, tho.)   My body is under almost constant stress.  I have to take frequent outings to the State Park and walk deep into the forest for relief.  It has caused autonomic nervous system disorder (dysautonomia) for me.  My temperature, blood sugar, breathing rate, etc, etc, are all negatively affected.

They call this a sensitivity, But.....  I even see that my so-called normal healthy husband reacts sometimes to frequencies.  My 35 yo son says he does too!  I have often wondered whether there are people dropping dead out there from them and nobody would have a clue.  Then, seeing this thread--this is frightening!

Not to scare you.  But if there is an unknown predator lurking, wouldn't you want to know?  The problem is, there is no way, likely, to prove what caused these sudden deaths.  People can drop dead from this and nobody be the wiser!  But do any of you know if your loved ones had alot of headaches or any of the other problems I mentioned?  Also, had any bought wireless (in particular) anything shortly before their deaths?  Another biggie--what about "smart meters"--did any of these people recently have smart meters installed in their communities?

I know this all sounds very weird.  But, trust me, it is getting a LOT of attention lately, and more news of this will be coming to your news channels very soon.  The world health organization listed smart meters and cell phones both as suspected carcinogens just a few months ago.  The NIH has been doing studies--Aug 1, 2011 they released a study warning that pregnant women should be careful what they use emf-wise (emf=electro-magnetic frequency) as it can lead to asthma later in the lives of their unborn children.  While it hasn't been yet proven, high magnetic frequecies are also thought to cause autism.

Sorry, this is so long, I thought you'd all want some sort of explanation as to what I was talking about.

Diane

I realize your post is from over one-year ago, but hopefully this isn't too late. In order to have these health problems one must have a cavitation, meaning bacteria in the gumline/jawbone. We know that a cavity is decay somewhere in or on the tooth. But, a cavitation is (deadly) bacteria in the bone. Each section of teeth and surrounding bone corresponds to a specific organ in the body ... "tooth meridians."

Once all of the bacteria is removed by a Biological Dentist (NOT a regular mainstream Dentist) the symptoms disappear. Also, taking a really good, high quality Probiotic is also very helpful in addition to getting rid of the bacteria by a Dentist who specializes in this. It could cost $$$ out-of-pocket, as many dental plans don't cover jawbone 'ozone treatments', although many insurances will cover any necessary surgery to remove the bacteria embedded in the bone.

You may possibly have to travel far, even to another state, or a Biological Dentist may be near where you live. I have to drive 3-hours each way to see mine ... no one close by.

Google ... 'tooth meridians' ... and also check out 'Biological Dentists' in your area ... hope this helps.

My mother has had an enlarged heart for about 13 years now.

With medication and looking after yourself I want to believe its not a death sentence.

I was diagnosed with this same condition, 4 days ago..

Maybe it is genetic..I dont know..

Can it be due to abuse of prescription pain pills or others pills.

Its kinda ironic that you should say that, cause Ive been thinking the same thing. I've been addicted to Duromine for approx 20years now.

Ive been reading about this condition a fair bit on the net, and some articles state that an enlarged heart can be reversible. My doctor says its not but I dont know, so many confusing contradictions out there.

I know that an enlarged heart is a symptom of another health problem. In my case its been high blood pressure and an under active thyroid. Irony being that Duromine cause hypertension if used for a long time.

Its just life, some get cancer, others have heart disease AND respiratory problems.. We all die of something, some sooner then later. I hear all these people blaming doctors ect... The secret is to live life for each minute and share time with all your love ones as much as possible...

Stop blaming and start living...

Hi, I'm so sorry about your mum. I too have just lost my 32 year old son with an enlarged heart. No symptoms, just died. I am still waiting for the full autopsy report. Also, I just want to say I am using my tablet and accidentally hit the down thumb icon and can't reverse it. So sorry about that.
