You say some may never get them back at all. now this worries me a lot, as i was on cerazette for 5 months with no periods, but decided to come off it as my skin was bad. I haven't had a period since (over 4 months), and my husband and i would now like to start trying for a family.

Is there any evidence that this could happen??

I was on cerazette for about 7 months. After about 4 months i noticed weight gain and finally came off it in January as i was piling on the pounds! I was 66kg and now 71kg - it may not seem that much but its the tone that worries me. I NEVER had a belly to speak of and now - i look like I am pregnant! (have taken a test - negative)The thickening around my hips, back etc is terrible. i go to Pilates once a week and the Gym at least twice. There has got to be something wrong! I am off the pil now about 4 weeks. No periods yet, I am exhausted, down, bloated and irritable withq uite a lot of gas which is sooo embarrassing! Imagine just wondering what to wear throws me now.. I can even see people looking at me funny in work - they are probably wasting forme to announce the good news! I just can't wait for the morning i wake up feeling'normal' and not so tired!
Is this familiar to anyone else?

hi,
i have been on cerazette for 2 years and have never had a proper period on it. Had the odd bit of spotting if i missed a pill and this usually came on a couple of days after missing. I have been off it about 2 weeks now and no period, maybe a little brawny discharge like the very end or very start of a period but that's gone now!! I came off it as I was worried that i hadn't had a period in all that time, it was great having no period but felt a little abnormal, i have to admit tho i did become a little disinterested in sex, could be connected. I'm not sure about pregnancy signs or feeling bad, ive just broken up with my boyfriend of 5 years so am pretty down anyway, been acting a little crazy lol but that's prob a combo of hormones and emotions!! I'm a little worried about the idea that my periods might never come back. Before i was on cerazette I had been on other pills so been on a pill for over 5 years now. It is a little worrying but all these posts have reassured me that im not alone.

I have been on cerazette for a month and a bit so far and i havnt had a period! Is this normal? I have light bleeding every now and then that lasts for a stupid amount of time which is apparently normal. I've not lost interest in my sexual life or become depressed - but i find myself snapping at my boyfriend or just crying for no reason quite often! I'm thinking of stopping it because i hate not having periods as it leaves me feeling stupidly paranoid. %-)

Iv also been on the pill for 10 months now and have also had a similar experience. At first I had very long periods but in the last 4-5 months I have had no periods at all. Very tired all the time and disinterested in sex, feel a little down at times aswell and headaches. I am however slighty worried at the fact that some people have no periods even when stopping taking the pill. Think i may be taking a trip to the doctors. No periods is lovely but not linked with the other side effects. Also i feel that i may want another baby at some point and no periods isnt goin to help !!!!!!!!!!!!!
p.s also have put on weight

ive been on cerazette for about three years now and i take it every day the same time on the dot, i never miss a pill. Very rarely maybe every 5-6 months i get a light brown discharge which goes away after a couple of days, i still use a condom with my boyfriend all the time.

yet the other week i had sex with him twice and without a condom but still n the pill, i havent had a period in almost a year and suddenly i have white discharge and now a brown/red like period. is this normal could i be pregnant?

Hi, I'm 19 and have been on Cerazette for about a year and a half. Up until June of this year I haven't had a single period (except when I missed a pill) but now I have started them again and now have bad cramps and they last a week. Do you think this will stop?

thank GOD i have found all these comments. I have had been on cerazette for just about a month and then came off it, and now... 4 weeks later, i still have no period!! I'm totally crapping it, have had about 3 pregnancy tests, all negative. not too sure how long i should wait until i go to the doc and ask for a blood pregnancy test? i was warned that periods may be erratic when on the pill, but didn't think they would still be skittish when off the pill!

Since you were on the pill for a short period of time, I don't think there is any problem for your body to adjust. You should have your period back soon unless there is other problem.

By the way, depending on you age. Assuming there are no structure problem.
Here is the statistic
25 percent in the first month,
60 percent needs six ovulations before conceiving,
75 percent conceive within nine months,
80 percent within a year and
90 percent within 18 months.
Hope this can help

Hello,

I have been on cerazetter for almost 3 years and have littel or no period. It takes some time to get used to it but it is completely normal according my my GP.

I have had to buy pregnancy tests though as with previous pills you had the 7 free days which was my monthly check which I don;t have now!!

Hi,
I've came off cerazette 2 weeks ago after being on it for 3 years. I'd had no period, not even any spotting, and none of the side affects people have mentioned. After trying loads of different pills over the years it was fantastic. However it's a relief to hear others complaining of pregnancy style symptoms since coming off it, and that they've had no period as yet, think i'll leave it a few weeks before doing a test (we're using condoms at the mo). I've been feeling massively gassy and bloated, bad headaches, sore boobs, extremely tired and over emotional. It's good to know that i'm not alone!
