My 75 year old mother had a Cervial Laminectory 4 mths ago next week. While the surgeon said it was a difficult recovery, expectations were that some pain and issues would continue for 1yr. BUT what we did not hear anything about was the SEVERE pain issues that she still experiences at least 3 days a week or more. The fact is that she still has severe arm pain, to the extent that she cannot move her arms most mornings and it can take until noon before she is able to fully move. It is as if she is frozen and on days she does PT the following day she is in severe pain. She is no longer on any pain meds other than over the counter as directed by her doctors. Has anyone else experienced the same issues and if so how long did it last, or were you able to find some relief for the pain? My sis and I are quite worried about her and she finds dealing with the chronic pain very difficult and she is beginning to look frail.
