My doc told me yesterday I have an infection in my cervix and she is running tests on several possible culprits. I keep reading that cervicitis is most commonly caused by STD's like chlamydia. It just doesn't seem very likely that I would have contracted such a thing, so is it possible that there is a more subtle cause here?
Maybe I didn't wash up well enough after recent sex? Maybe I masturbate too much or don't shower enough? I am a stay at home mom, so I must admit there are a few days that a shower just doesn't happen...

I just had a doc appointment today and i have the same issue, the only symptom i have is bleeding (spotting) in between periods. Im waiting on my test results as well.
Hi! Did you ever find out the cause to your cervicitis? I was just diagnosed with the same and have no STD's as well. It's very uncomfortable with the lower back and abdominal pain and I have been bleeding for a few days, some heavier than others. It's very scary and confusing for me. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!!
