I had my wisdom teeth removed four days ago, and after viewing the inside of my mouth with a flashlight, I noticed that my cheek was sewn to my gum. My wisdom teeth removal didn't leave a socket, and the teeth themselves did not have roots. I thought I was healing well until today. I am pretty sure that my cheek ripped away from the suture, but the suture itself is still in my gum and partially in my cheek. What do I need to do about this suture? The inside of my cheek is exposed and bleeding; I am afraid I will get an infection.
