Hello, I am an 18 year old male who has never had any major medical issues. I was a cigarette smoker for 2 and a half years but quit 8 months ago and I smoke marijuana daily. I have been coughing up yellow, brown, gray, and white mucus for the past 9 months now (I figured it was just all the c**p from cigarettes) and randomly one night I started having really bad chest pains when I lay down in any direction or breath in deep as if there is solid matter in my lungs. I cough up the different colored flem consistantly throughout the day (mainly white). I know that smoking doesn't help the situation much but what should I do and what is wrong with me? I know that marijuana smoke isn't harmful enough on the lungs to cause problems like this.

I am a 21 year old female and I have never had any major medical issues either and I have never smokes cigarettes. I do however smoke marijuana daily as well. I have the SAME exact problem though!! I wasn't under the impression marijuana smoke could cause respiratory irritation such as this. I haven't been to the doctor yet but am seriously considering it...have you found anything out about this?
